TruRyde Trailer Spindles - Standard Spindle - TRU84FR Review

Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. And we're going to be taking a quick look at the #84 spindle for your 3,500 pound trailer axle. This is a great way to replace the spindle if it's gotten worn out or damaged over time, which can definitely happen, without having to replace the entire axle. So you can cut off that offending spindle and weld this guy on in its place, and then you're ready to roll.It is also a good idea, however, whenever you're replacing that spindle to also get new bearings, seals and races, if not a whole new hub assembly for your axle, to make sure that you don't have those same issues. A lot of times when these get worn out or damaged, it's because there is starting to be some damage to those inner workings as well. So it's just a good idea to get everything replaced out from the start.Let's take a closer look at this and make sure that it is the right fit for your particular application.

Again, this is going to be a weld-on piece, so it's just got that nice flush plain end there that you can weld on in place. The diameter of that stub is about one and three quarter inches. The total length of our spindle, if we go from the very end to the same spot on the other side, it's about an 11 and a quarter inch long. This is for a 3,500 pound axle or trailer axles. So that means that the spindle capacity is 1,750 pounds, which is half, since you're going to have two spindles, one for either side of your axle. It is made out of sturdy steel. The castle nut cotter pin and washer are all included to help and hold all those components in place on that axle spindle. And as far as the bearings, races and seals, to complete everything, you can find those part numbers and measurements here at etrailer.com on the product page.

So if you want to get those at the same time, which is a very good idea to do, you can check those out right here at etrailer. That's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the replacement spindle for your axle. I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is going to be the right one for your application. Again, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
