Valterra RV Wiring - Cable Hatch - A10-2150BKVP Review

Today we're going to take a look at the Valterra locking electrical cable hatch for RVs. This cable hatch will keep your RV electrical cables protected and out of the way. Uses a locking door to prevent theft and tampering. Comes with the two keys, you just turn it to unlock it and the door open. You can access your electrical cables, and when you're done just close it and lock it. And what else was nice at the bottom of the door They do have this nice built-in slot that you can just open it up to run a cable out of the hatch, and you can still close the door and lock it if you want and have the cable running out.

If you don't use it, you can see just swing this back into place, cover that opening. Now, this hatch is a durable polypropylene construction. The other nice feature on this, if you don't want to use the locking feature where you have to use a key all the time. You can actually unscrew that nut, remove the lock and then install this thumb latch. Once you install that, you don't have to use a lock or key all the time.

You can just turn it like that to open or close it. Gives you a nice, quick keyless entry. Now, this does come with everything laid out here on the table, comes with the two keys for the lock. It comes with these installation tapes. So when you do go to install this, you see there's your holes to install it.

You can put the tape around there to help seal it. Does come with the mounting hardware to install it. You can see it's a nice black color. Few specs on this, this is an application for RVs that have a five and seven eighths-inch long by four and three quarter-inch tall hatch cutouts that this'll fit in. Now, the overall dimensions on this, is going to measure right at seven and five eighths inches long, six and a half inches tall and one and a half inches deep.

And they do recommend the maximum cable amperage to use in this hatches, about 50 AMPS maximum. But again, you can close your door, take your key, lock it, then it's locked so nobody can get into it. But that should do it for the review on the Valterra locking electrical cable hatch for RVs..
