Review of Ventline Enclosed Trailer Parts V2128SP-01

Today, we're going to be taking a look at part number V2128SP-01. This is the ventline roof vent. It's going to include a 110-volt fan. The roof vent's electric fan is going to yield better air circulation than non-powered models. It's going to exhaust the hot air while the trailer or RV remains locked and secure. Makes it very simple to upgrade from non-powered models.

Now, this is going to feature . Right here, this is going to be the basic hand-operated crank. This is going to rotate to open and close the dome. Also, right here, I do want to show you, it's got a push button to turn the fan on and off. It does come with the interior garnish or a trim piece that's going to add a nice, clean finished look to the inside of your trailer. The cover here on top at the dome, this is going to be a translucent cover, so it's got a plenty of light through.

It's got the aero-dynamic wedge-shaped design. It's going to be made of durable polypropylene material, so it's going to be strong and durable to last a long time. The roof flange is made from a galvanized steel construction so you don't have to worry about rust or corrosion. We're also going to have the built-in screen, that's this piece right here. This is going to keep debris and insects and anything that you don't want in your trailer.

This is going to do a good job of keeping that stuff out where it belongs. The color of the trim piece is polar white, and again, that is included, and again, this does include your 110-volt fan. Your wiring to get that connected is going to be sold separately. The product's made in the USA. A note that I want to mention is that the screws in the sealer to get this installed are not included. We do have an installation kit, part number RVIKIT100.

That's going to include all the necessary screws and sealer that you would need to install the vent. The garnish, this piece right here, this is going to fit roofs that measure 2 1/8 of an inch to 3 1/4 of an inch in thickness. The leg length which is this piece right here, this is going to measure 2 1/8 of an inch tall from the flange to the top of the leg. Again, that's going to be polar white in color. The rough opening size needed to get this installed is going to be 14 1/4 by 14 1/4. Let's go ahead and show you how easy it operates. We got multiple mounting holes to go around the galvanized steel roof flange, and then the interior trim piece is going to contain 4 mounting holes. Now, with it fully closed and fully installed, it's going to extend above the roof by 4 1/2 inches if we go ahead and open it up all the way. With it fully opened, it's going to extend above the roof by 10 inches. Please keep in mind that this is not for use above tub, showers or range cooking surfaces. That's going to do it for today's look at part number V2128SP-01.

Questions and Comments about this Video

Cecil K.

Can the fan be mounted on my existing roof flange? I would like to pull my roof vent and mount the fan. I have the 110v. The trailer originally had a powered fan.

If you're talking about the internal trim piece (garnish) then you could probably still use that. If you're talking about basically taking the guts out of this and installing it into your current system then the only way that would work is if you currently have this exact roof vent installed, and even then it would be easier to just to a completely new install.
