Ventline RV Vents and Fans Replacement Motor - BVD0218-00 Review

Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the replacement 12 volt DC motor for your fans in your RV. This will accommodate your Ventline P series, B series, T series and S0721 series range hoods as well as your Ventdome or Vanair roof vents. If you are needing a replacement motor, especially for those of you who are in your RV year-round traveling around, the motor can go out if you're using it frequently like that. And so having a backup on hand is always a good option. This is going to be almost an exact replacement, so it should be very easy to get hooked up, switch out your motors, very easy process to do. They do include mounting hardware and replacement wires.

If you need them, typically, you'll be able to reuse most of the wiring and screws and those sort of things that you already have. You just need the motor, but they do include some of those other components as well. They also have a detailed list of instructions here, depending on the model of fan that you have to help you get this installed. Basically, you just have to make sure that the black wire is on the terminal that's marked with that red dot there. Make sure that your fan is on the other side and it's going to work well for you. Now, keep in mind, there are two very similar models.

You've got your BVDO218-00, which is for use in the United States. And then you also have your BVDO218-00C, which is for use in Canada. They are almost exactly the same. The one that's used in Canada may be just slightly more expensive, so depending on where you're going to be using this, I would recommend getting the correct product for your situation. The one that is made there in Canada does meet the CSA standards, so that may be why it's a little bit more expensive, but both motors are going to be right at an inch and a half in length there. Our rod is going to be right about half inch from the motor.

It's going to give us 1.2 amps at 13.6 volts of direct current. So it's going to work for your 12 volt DC fans and systems. So if you are needing a replacement motor for your Ventline or Ventdome, or Vanair vents or range hoods, this is going to be the motor for you. So that's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com.

Thanks for watching.
