Review of Ventline RV Vents and Fans V2290-50

Today we're going to take a look at the Ventline White Residential Style Bathroom Vent with the twelve volt fan. Now this is a powered ceiling bath fan for small areas. It's made of heavy duty durable plastic, so there's no sharp edges on it. You notice it has the nice, white ceiling grill on it. On the inside is a twelve volt motor. It moves the air at fifty cubic feet per minute.

I just want to take the grill off just to show you in the insides. All you have to do is pull down on your grill, just like that, and then squeeze your wires together to detach it from the motor itself. You'll notice on the inside, that's where your motor is, the twelve volt motor, and you'll notice has the three wires for your electrical connection. The diameter on this fan is nine and five eighths inches. It's a very easy installation. You can see the three screws right here.

Basically when you install this, these clamps will clamp directly into the ceiling by turning those three screws, there's three different ones. Now these mounting clamps do allow for a maximum one and three sixteenths ceiling thickness. Now the duct work and the exterior vents are all sold separately for this. We're going to go ahead and put the grill back on. Just squeeze your wires together and go ahead and stick them in, and the grill goes right down on top of it.

That should do it for the review on the Ventline White Residential Style Bathroom Vent with the twelve volt fan.

We are trying to remove our old fan but can't get those little fingers that the screws go into that hold the fan up in the ceiling to close so we can pull the fan down. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

How do you INSTALL it into the ceiling? I need to replace the exact same one, but I don’t want to tear up the ceiling getting it out to start with. Is there an EXACT fit version with a light and or a humidity sensor? Sorry is I sound like a total rookie.

We don't have an installation video of this and this was discontinued a few years ago so there are no direct replacements, but to remove it you'll want to follow the same steps as the video mentioned by first removing the cover and then disconnecting the wiring and rotating the mounting screws.

I have a Ventline V2290-50 that has stopped working. Do you have a replacement available for this 12V bathroom fan? Thank you.

If it's just the motor that you need, I was able to verify with my contact at Ventline that the part # BVD0218-00 is a perfect replacement for your V2290-50 model. We don't currently have a good alternative for a complete vent replacement.

Where can I find a replacement V2299-50 bathroom fan. I have a 2004 Mobile Suites and need to replace the fan or motor whichever I can get. Have already tried a different model wich does not fit in the area that the fan is installed. Help please!

This vent and fan assembly is not longer available from the manufacturer, and I have checked and the replacement motor we have is listed for 110 and 50 CFM fans, where this one was 12V and 50 CFM, so that replacement motor would not be compatible either.
