WeatherTech Car Organizer - Rear Under-Seat Organizer - WT85WR Review

Ellen: Hey, everybody. I'm Ellen here at and we're taking a quick look at the WeatherTech under the seat truck box. This is going to be a great way to store any loose items, some smaller stuff that you might have in your truck that otherwise would just be rolling around in the back. Maybe a flashlight, some towing straps, a toolkit. Anything else that you might just have that you want to give a dedicated spot to.Now this works for the 2019 through the current year model of the Chevy Silverado 1500 and also the GMC 1500. Also works for the 2020 through the current year model for the GMC Sierra and the Chevy Silverado.

And that's going to be for the 2500 and 3500. So if you've got one of those trucks with a regular cab, this is going to be the box for you. It's made out of a pretty durable material. This is resistant to any kind of damage from oils, salts, and things like that. So if you get gas on it or grease or anything else like that, it's not going to damage the overall material.

It's kind of similar to their floor mats as well, but a little bit more rigid than you typically find with those. It's kind of a bulkier material. You can kind of see that texturized look to it. Has the molded in spots, so you can have a little shallow tray compared with the bigger, deeper trays. And you'll notice that there's this little pack of stuff that comes with this. This is going to give you the strap to secure this in the back.

They only give you one, even though there's actually two spots for the strap to go. So I guess they just expect you to kind of double up on that or just only have one side attached. That's one thing that's a little weird to me, but pretty easy to get this installed. Really doesn't require any tools. All you have to do is open up this package, take out the strap, run it through this back portion here, and then just wrap it around one of the supports for that rear seat.

And then that seat, as it folds down, becomes the lid or the tray so that it becomes a box. So that's where we get the name "under seat storage box." But it's pretty easy to use.As far as measurements. I'll give you a couple just quick ones here. Side to side is about 48 and a half inches long. Again, this is custom fit. So it's going to work for those vehicles that I mentioned earlier, but just to give you an idea of what kind of space you got here. This portion over here is about 18 inches long. There's also kind of another little tray in here to divide that up. That's about 7 inches. This is about 10 and a half. This guy is about 8 and a quarter. And then the biggest portion here is about 19 inches wide. Front to back, about 10 and a half inches. Here it's about 6 and three quarters. These are all just kind of rough measurements. I'm just going along here. About 4 and a half. And then the depth, about the deepest portion, I think it's about 4 inches. So just to kind of give you an idea of the spacing for this guy, but all in all should make a nice addition to your truck. Again, it is custom fit, so it's going to fit really nicely with the contours of your Chevy or your GMC, and should just make it a lot easier to keep all your stuff organized and keep things from rolling around in your truck. So I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right piece for you. We do have a lot of other storage options available here at, along with a lot of other accessories for your trucks in general. So be sure to check it out right here at, and thanks for watching..
