Review of Yakima Roof Rack Y00147

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the TimberLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars. Now at, this is available in a 2-pack and a 4-pack, so both options available at I'm just showing you one today for demonstration purposes. The heavy-duty towers simply mount the Yakima Crossbars to your vehicle with the raised factory side rails. Yakima Crossbars are sold separately and available at versatile BarBeds, which is the top here of the tower, these are curved to accommodate the elliptical shape of a Yakima CoreBar or a JetStream crossbar. Also fit a RoundBar crossbar with adapter Y03536, sold separately and available at is a very safe and secure installation with the rubber-coated stainless steel strap. That's a nice, strong, durable strap.

You don't have to worry about it corroding or rusting. The strap wraps completely around your raised side rail for maximum security. The bar, like your crossbar, would attach to the connection point here at the top.It also comes with the included torque tool that clicks 3 times when the straps are completely tight and secure, which eliminates the fear of under- or overtightening the strap. Now to gain access to that tightening bolt, you need to remove the end cap. You do that by pressing in on the edge here, each side.

Pinch it, and it removes easily. This right here tightens or loosens the rubber-coated steel strap. The bolt here on top is the one that tightens and loosens the connection point from the crossbar. Both connection or tightening points are located right here behind that end cap, 1 up high for the connection point to the bar, 1 down low for the connection point to your raised side rail.I also want to point out that the end cap has the removable plastic piece right here that can be removed and replaced with a lock, It is lockable with the Yakima Same Key System, or SKS, lock cores sold separately and available at unit, all around, features a nice, weather-resistant construction. So we're looking at weather-resistant stainless steel, glass-reinforced plastic, and elastomer construction.

A very strong, durable design. One of my favorite features about the TimberLine Towers is the rubber-like material at all the connection points. Where it meets our bar, we have the rubber-like material, and then where it meets the vehicle on the strap and on the tower, rubber coated so we don't have to worry about scratching or damaging our vehicle. The maximum tower load capacity is 220 lbs. Yakima puts a limited lifetime warranty on their Timberline Towers. That's going to do for today's took at the TimberLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars. Again, this is available in 2-pack and a 4-pack at
