etrailer 2" To 1-1/4" Receiver Adapter With 4" Extension - e58YR Review

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this etrailer two inch to an inch and a quarter receiver adapter with four inch extension. This adapter is going to give you the ability to easily transform your two inch receiver into an inch and a quarter receiver and give you a four inch extension. This is gonna let you use all of your inch and a quarter hitch accessories, such as your bike racks or cargo carriers. Just pin it, clip it and you're ready to go.

This adapter does not include the 5/8 inch hitch pin and clip to secure it to your two inch hitch. So, that would be a separate purchase if you don't already have it. And you would also need to provide the half inch pin and clip to secure your accessories to your adapter. This is a sturdy steel construction with a matte black powder coat finish over a protective base coat. So, it is the same finish that we use on our etrailer hitches to give you that superior rust resistance.

So, if you already have an etrailer hitch, this is going to match beautifully. This is not to be used with towing, just for your inch and a quarter accessories. By using an extender like this, you will reduce your hitch's weight capacity to 50%. The maximum tongue weight on this is 350 pounds. And the overall length is sitting right at nine inches.

And then the distance between the hitch pin holes, center to center, we are sitting right at 4 1/2 inches. And then the distance from the half inch hitch pin hole to our inch and a quarter side, I'm measuring from the center of that hole, we are sitting right at two inches. Let me turn this around. Measuring from the center of our 5/8 of an inch hitch pin hole to the end of the side that's gonna be going into your two inch receiver, line that up, we're sitting right at 2 1/2 inches. That's gonna conclude our look today.

I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
