etrailer 2" To 1-1/4" Receiver Adapter With 7" Extension - e38YR Review

Hi, everybody. Andy here with www.etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at this etrailer two inch to an inch and a quarter receiver adapter with a seven inch extension. This adapter is going to give you the ability to easily transform your two inch hitch receiver into an inch and a quarter receiver and give you a seven inch extension. This is going to let you use all of your inch and a quarter hitch accessories such as your bike racks or cargo carriers. And this adapter does not include the five eighths of an inch hitch pin and clip to secure this to your two inch hitch.

So, that would be a separate purchase for you. if you don't already have one. And, you would also need to provide the half inch pin and clip to secure your accessories to this adapter. Now, this is a sturdy steel construction with a matte black powder coat finish over a protective base coat. It is the same finish that we use on our etrailer hitches to give that superior rust resistance.

So, if you have an etrailer hitch already on your vehicle, this will be a perfect match. The maximum tongue weight is 350 pounds, and it is important to note that, by using this extender, you will reduce your hitch's weight capacity by 50%. So, this is not to be used for towing, just for your inch and a quarter accessories. Let me give you some overall measurements. The overall length of this adapter, we're sitting right at 11 inches.

And then, the distance between the hitch pin holes center to center. Let me line that up for you as best as I can. We are sitting right at seven inches. And then, the distance from the side that you're gonna be putting in your two inch hitch receiver to the center of the five eighths of an inch hitch pin hole. We are sitting right at two and three eighths inches.

And then, the distance from the half inch hitch pin hole, the center of that hole, to your inch and a quarter side, the end of that side. We're gonna be sitting right at, looks like about an inch, an inch and five eighths. Line that up there. So, that's going to conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
