etrailer Hitch Adapters - Hitch Expander - e93YR Review

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at Today, we're gonna take a look at this etrailer 1 1/4 inch to 2 inch hitch receiver adapter with a 6 1/2 inch extension. Now, this adapter will let you use your two inch hitch-mounted accessories with your 1 1/4 inch hitch receiver, and it also allow you to gain an extra 6 1/2 inches of length, 5 1/2 inches of rise, or 4 1/4 inches of drop when installing your two inch hitch receivers. It is very easy to use, basically, you'll just soft slide this solid shank down here into your 1 1/4 inch hitch receiver, secure it with a 1/2 inch pining clip or a hitch lock, and then your two inch hitch accessory will slide into this two inch receiver opening, and secure it in place with a 5/8 inch diameter pin and clip or hitch lock. Now, the pins and clips or the hitch locks that we mentioned are not included, those we do sell separately on our website. This part is a sturdy steel construction, does have a nice matte black powder coat finish over a protective base coat, and it's the same finish that's used on our etrailer hitches to give you superior rust resistance.

Few specs again, it's designed to fit into a 1 1/4 inch by 1 1/4 inch hitch receiver. The hitch receiver size up here is two inch by two inch. Now, the weight capacity on this will be limited to the capacity of the hitch you install this on, maximum tongue weight on this is 350 pounds. One thing I do wanna mention is when you do use this as an extender, it will reduce your hitch's weight capacity by 50%. Give you a few measurements on this, the overall length from this end to this end is gonna be right at 11 1/4 inches.

Now, we mentioned the rise, the rise on this, so we'll measure from the top of this shank to the top of the receiver, so if we put there, there's your five inch rise, and then if we use it in the drop position, which would be this position, it's gonna be measured from the top of the receiver right there to the top, it'll be 4 1/4 inches. Now, the distance from the center of this hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, it's gonna be right at 2 1/4 inches, and then the distance from the front of the receiver opening to the hitch pin hole is right at 2 1/2 inches. But that should do it for the review on this etrailer 1 1/4 inch to 2 inch hitch receiver adapter with the 6 1/2 inch extension..
