How to Install the CIPA Clip-On Towing Mirror on a 2015 Jeep Cherokee

Today on our 2015 Jeep Cherokee, we're going to be taking a look at the Cipa Clip-On Towing Mirror, part number 7070. Now here I am at the back of our trailer and you can clearly see me in the factory mirror, but if I take a few steps out, you lose track of me in the factory mirror, but that's where our towing mirror comes into play. Whether you're driving down the road and just need to keep an eye on your trailer or if you're parking or getting in a changing lanes in a close quarter situation, that's where we're going to benefit having a towing mirror. So here's what our towing mirror looks like fully installed. It's going to allow us to move our mirror left and right, up and down, and even for a wide angle view, we can rotate our mirror and get a different angle. We're still going to be able to retail all the factory functions of our mirror being able to adjust it to the left, right, up, down, and even diagonally. We're even able to keep the function of folding our mirror in. Now the way it's going to attach is it's going to use two rubber straps, so we don't have to worry about any scratches or abrasion on the finish of our car.

Now these mirrors are universal fit, so they're going to be great if you have multiple vehicles that you tow with in your family. Now they come in a quantity of one, so if you need one for the passenger's side, go ahead and use this same part number. Now that we've gone over some of these features, let's go and show you how easy it is to install it. First step of our installation is going to be take our mirror and open up the arms, and if we bring our attention to the tabs here, they're going to go in between the mirror housing and the mirror glass. So we'll start with the bottom and we're going to put those tabs in between the glass and the housing. Then we can rotate our upper arm down, locking it into that place.

Then we're going to take our straps and notice the small square, we're going to bring them up and we're actually going to hook it onto this notch right here. We're going to bring the other strap up and connect it as well. To adjust the straps on here, just going to, if you want it tighter, you're just going to feed it through and pull it through. If you want it looser, you're going to feed the free end back through, making it longer. With our mirror securely on our vehicle, we're ready to tow. And that'll finish up the look at the Cipa Clip-On Towing Mirror, part number 7070, on our 2015 Jeep Cherokee..
