How to Install a CIPA Clamp On Universal Fit Towing Mirror on a 2019 Toyota Highlander

Hi there Highlander owners. Today on our 2019 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be taking a look at Cipa's universal towing mirror. So as you can see here, I'm clearly visible in our factory rear view mirror. But as I take a step towards the outside, I'm no longer visible in our factory mirror, but I can clearly be seen in our universal towing mirror. This is particularly useful when merging onto the highway, as well as when changing lanes. Our mirror can adjust both vertically and horizontally, and it can also rotate to suit your specific needs. When the mirror's installed, our factory mirror, will still have full adjustment, and the breakaway function will still work, but our mirror will come into contact with the trim when fully pushed in.

It's held onto our factory mirror using the rubber straps that wraps around the back side. What's nice about them being rubber is that it will grip the backside of your mirror, preventing it from slipping off. And since it's a soft material, it's not going to cause any scratches or abrasions to the backside of your mirror. This is an economical solution to get that extra vision you need when hauling your trailer, you can purchase them individually, or you can purchase them as a package of two. We'll begin our installation by placing our mirror onto our factory mirror. Take the hooks here, and you want to line them up with the edges of your mirror.

And you can take the straps located on the bottom, you're going to bring those around the back side. And the hook here is going to clip onto the top. And our other strap's going to do the exact same. If you need to adjust the tension, you can just move the strap on the buckle here. And that completes our look at Cipa's universal towing mirror on our 2019 Toyota Highlander..
