Review of the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Bike Rack on a 2014 Dodge Journey

Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey well be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Over the Top Trunk-Mounted Two Bike Carrier for vehicles and spoilers, part number HRF2. Well begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicles rear bumper. The bottom portion of the bike rack should rest on the upper tier of the rear bumper. We can then use the middle set of black levers to adjust to fit the middle of the arms which will rest on the vehicles rear window. When you position the arm on the rear window you want to leave enough space between the rear window and the bike rack so that the cradle arms can swing out without coming in contact with the window.Once youve established this position you can lock down the black plastic levers. If need be you can use the top set of black levers to adjust to fit the overhanging part of the bike rack whereas the top two straps will help connect to the rear hatch. With this done you can then lock them in place. Well then take the top two straps to go over the top portion of the rear hatch. Well then take the side straps to go on the side of the rear hatch down here on the corner and the bottom two straps to go on the bottom portion of the hatch.Well then tighten down the straps to secure the carrier to the vehicle.

Once all of our straps are tightened down we can then secure the excess slack and were ready to load our bike. Now we can use the bottom set of black two levers to put our cradle arms into position for loading a bike. Youll want to make sure that the cradle arms are level or slightly angled up.Once weve established this position we can then lock down the black plastic levers. We can undo the straps, place our bike into the frame cradles and secure it with the straps. Now that our bike is all loaded up, that will complete todays test fit for the Hollywood Racks Over the Top Trunk-Mounted Two Bike Rack for vehicles and spoilers, part HRF2 on our 2014 Dodge Journey. .
