How to Install the K Source Universal Clip-On Towing Mirror on a 2016 BMW X5

Today on a 2016 BMW X5, we're gonna be taking a look and showing you how to install the K-Source universal clip-in towing mirror, part number KS3891. Now here at the back of the trailer, you can see we have plenty of visibility in our factory mirror. But if we step outside, we lose that visibility in our factory mirror, but gain it in our towing mirror. This is gonna be good for parking and changing lanes. Now here we're gonna have for your 00:00:29 adjustable mirror, up and down, side to side. It even allows you to turn it horizontally to give you a wider view angle.

Now you'll have two tabs on the bottom, two tabs on the top and they're just gonna fit in between your housing and your factory mirror. Still allows for full adjustability on your factory mirror. As you can see, you have full function of your fold in mirror and it doesn't touch the body of your vehicle. It's gonna have rubber feet that can provide a nice, snug fit and it won't harm your factory finish. Now you're gonna have two adjustment points. You're gonna have two down here on the bottom.

You're gonna have ratcheting points here on the top and these are sold in a quantity of one. If you'd like to pick one up for your passenger side, just use the same part number. Now let's show you how to get this installed. So what we're gonna do is we're gonna take these plastic feet here and we're gonna fit them in between the mirror and the housing. We're gonna take our strap.

We're gonna clip the little hook through that plastic ring there. We're gonna ratchet both these down until we get a nice, snug fit. Once you get them tightened down to a snug fit, you're ready to hit the road. That'll do it for the K-Source universal clip-in towing mirror, part number KS3891 on our 2016 BMW X5.
