How to Install the K-Source Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirrors on a 2015 Infiniti QX60

Rob here at etrialer.com and today you're going to be taking a look at the K-Source dual lens towing mirror on our 2015 Infinity QX60. Now having a towing mirror's going to make it a lot easier to see what's going on behind you whenever you're towing a trailer so we can make sure that we're safe whether changing lanes or going down the highway. So here you can clearly see me in the factory mirror at the back of my trailer, but if I we're to move away, you're going to lose track of me. That's where our towing mirror's going to help out a lot. Whether we need to change lanes, pull our trailer up to the campground, back it up, or whatever we need to do, it's going to give us that wider field of view so we can confidently get down the road and make sure that everyone around us is safe as well. Our towing mirror's going to have two mirrors. The larger mirror is going to give us an accurate depiction of what's behind us, whereas the smaller mirror here is going to act more like a spot mirror. Now the way our mirror's going to be attached to our factory mirror is we're going to have these two rubber-coated straps that are going to secure it as well as this rubber pad that will protect our paint and grip the mirror well. The nice thing about the way the mirror mounts is it's not going to interfere with our factory mirror at all.

We're still going to have full adjustments, being able to get that perfect angle to see what's going on behind us, and we're not going to have to worry about the tabs here interfering with it.Now with our mirror installed, those close-quarters situations where we may need to fold our mirror in, just keep in mind we can a little bit, but our mirror is going to contact the door before we fully get it folded in. And if your Infinity has the camera on the mirror for the bird's eye view, our towing mirror's not going interfere with it so long as you pay attention to where you mount the strap. And one of the best features of our mirror is the fact that it is universal. So if you have several different vehicles in your family that you tow with, chances are this might fit those as well. Now, these do come as a pair, so you're going to get the driver's side and the passenger's side. But now that we've gone over the features and seen what our mirror looks like, let's put the passenger's side on together. So to start out, we want to take our mirror, we're going to open up the arms so that these tabs here have enough room to go around the mirror housing.

So you just want to take these tabs here and these are going to fit in between the housing and the mirror glass itself. So we'll take the ones, we'll slide them in on the bottom here, then we can rotate the arms until the top lines up. We're just going to want to hold it in place for now like this, and we'll move to the back side. Now on the straps here, we're going to have this little notch and that's going to fit on the bottom of the mirror, so we'll just reach down and slide it into position. We'll just put that notch in and slide it back to secure it in place. And once we have all the straps loosely in place, we'll come to the ratcheting part.

There will be a cover over the top. We just want to lift that open. And we'll take the silver part and we're just going to ratchet it down until it's nice and secure. And once we have it tight, we'll just cover it back up. We'll do the same thing for the other one.

Then we can just make any adjustments to all of our mirrors, hook up to our trailer, and we're ready to hit the road. But that will finish up your look at the K-Source dual lens towing mirror and our 2015 Infinity QX60.
