Review of the K-Source Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirrors on a 2018 Toyota RAV4

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Rav Four, we're gonna be doing a test fit on the K source universal dual lens clip on towing mirrors. These are sold as a pair, with part number KS3990. It offers us a wide field of view, it's gonna allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass, park, or even back up while towing a small trailer or camper. As you can see I'm visible in the towing mirror, but not the factory mirror. Between the two mirrors on the towing mirror, we've got the larger and smaller one. The smaller one is gonna act more as a spot mirror. It's gonna give us more of an accurate view of what's behind us, while the larger one is gonna help us during changing and passing lanes. Now, if I take a few steps in towards my trailer, as you can see, there's no blind spot.

By the way we have it set up. But right here, is the view you get with just your factory mirror. Both the larger and the smaller mirror can be adjusted to most angles. We've got our up and down, diagonal, and side to side. Here you can see how it attaches to our housing. Each one of the four clips is not gonna interfere with the operation or movement of our factory mirror, and we can even still fold it in.Here on the back side, it uses two ratchet straps to hold it in place.

The nice thing about the ratchet style is you're gonna get the extra tight, snug fit, compared to just a rubber strap style. They feature two large rubber pads, so we don't have to worry about them harming or scratching the finish of our mirror. As you can see, we still have use of our turn signal, on our mirror, we don't have to worry about the towing mirror covering that up. These mirrors are a fast, no tool installation. We'll go ahead and show you how we put them on.So, I'm here on the driver's side of my Rav four. To begin our test fit, we'll need to make sure each one of our clips here, is pulled out.

That way we can easily clip it in place around our housing. Once it looks like this, we can go ahead and set it in place. Now, I'm just gonna center it up with my mirror. Once I've got it where I want it, I'll hold it in place with one hand, and then I'll run the straps on the back side. Now, when we run our straps on the back side, we want to make sure that the rubber pad here, contours the back of the mirror. So, we're gonna put it on in this direction. We'll first start by connecting the ratcheting strap, up top, to the hook there.

Then, we'll do the same thing on the bottom, but with the rubber strap connected to that bottom hook. Then we'll come up to our ratchet, and start ratcheting it down. Now, as I'm ratcheting, I'm gonna position that pad the way I want.Get it nice and secure, then I can repeat the same process with the second strap. Now, on each on of our straps, it's got a little keeper here, so they're not sticking out, and then you're all set.And that's gonna complete our test fit, on the K Source Universal dual lens, clip on towing mirrors, part number KS3990, on our 2018 Toyota Rav Four.
