How to Install the K-Source Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirrors on a 2019 Toyota Highlander

Today on our 2019 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install K Source's dual-lens universal towing mirror. As you can see here, I'm clearly visible in our factory mirror, but as I take a step towards the outside, I'm no longer visible in our factory mirror, but I'm clearly visible in our universal towing mirrors. This is particularly useful when merging onto the highway as well as when changing lanes. There are two lenses found in our universal towing mirror. Each is going to be adjustable both horizontally and vertically. There are two different styles of mirrors. The larger one here is going to be a flat mirror. It's going to give us a more accurate representation of what's behind us, and the other is a convex mirror, which is going to give you a wider angle of view.

You'll want to keep in mind that in convex mirrors, objects may be closer than they appear. When the mirror is installed, our factory mirror is still fully adjustable, and the breakaway function of our mirror still operates, allowing it to fold in.Our mirror is held in place using the two ratcheting straps found on the back. Each ratcheting strap has a rubberized bumper on it to contact the back of the mirror. The rubberized material will grip the mirror, keeping it from sliding off, and it'll also provide a soft surface that's not going to cause any scratches or abrasions to the backside of the mirror. While the mirror is installed, your turn signal light on your mirror is still going to be visible. However, our camera on the bottom, if you have the 360-degree-viewing camera system, is going to be partially obstructed by the strap.

You can adjust it a little bit to each side to help get you the most view out of it, but regardless of where you got it, it's still going to obstruct a little bit. We'll begin our installation by taking the hooks here, located on the back of the arms, off our universal towing mirror, and hooking those into the outer lip of our factory mirror. We can then take the straps up around back and hook them in to the loops here at the top. You can then tighten those down by pulling the ratcheting strap, and then to further cinch it down, you can use the ratcheting lever to ensure it's nice and tight. Once you've got it all cinched down, you can close the covers, keep them in place. This is a premium universal towing mirror that has two lenses to give you the best viewing angles possible. It comes as a quantity of two, so you have one for each side.

And that completes our look at K Source's dual-lens universal towing mirror on our 2019 Toyota Highlander.
