Review of the Pro Series Q-Slot 2 and 4 Bike Hitch Bike Rack on a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse

Today on our 2013 Chevy Traverse, we'll be test fitting the Pro Series Q-Slot platform-style 2-bike carrier for 2" hitches, part number PS63138. This bike rack can be configured to carry two or four bikes. We will be test fitting ours in the 2-bike configuration. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, lining up our pin holes, threading our anti-rattle bolt through the pin holes, and tightening with a wrench. Now with our Q-Slot secured to our Traverse, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 15-1/2" of ground clearance at the rear of the carrier.

The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of our Traverse is here at the license plate, about 7" away, and we've added about 24" to the overall length of the vehicle. To load the platform, we'll pull the three pins at the base of the carrier and fold the platform down. And with the platform folded down, you can see that we can easily access the rear hatch of our Traverse. To load the bike, we'll make sure the mast is in its upright position, also making sure that the frame hooks are to the top of the mast as well. We'll then undo the tray straps, place our bike into the wheel trays, adjust the frame hook tightly against the frame, and secure the tires with the tray straps.

And that completes today's test fit for the Pro Series Q-Slot platform-style 2-bike carrier for 2" hitches, part number PS63138, on our 2013 Chevy Traverse.
