Today on our 2012 Honda Fit, well be doing a test fit with our Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar, which is rated at 6000 pounds, part #RM-520. To start our test fit, you will need to install the tow bar into the receiver of your tow vehicle. To attach the tow bar to the towed vehicle, you will need to remove the pin on either side of the base plate. You will extend the arms of the tow bar out, lining it up on the bracket of the towed vehicle. Then you will reinstall the pin and the clevis pin that goes through it. You will repeat this for both sides.
You will notice that there are two buttons on the top of the tow bar that, once you begin to two, will lock the extended part of the arms in place. This particular tow bar, when not in use, can be folded into the upright position. You can then fold it either to the drivers or the passengers side. You will notice, as you disconnect the tow bar from the towed vehicle and raise it into the upright position, it will automatically lock in place with the locking tab. The tow bar is also powder coated to give you added durability.
This tow bar also has a 6000 pound tow capacity, as well as being compatible with all Roadmaster vehicle specific base plates. That will do it for our test fit of the Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar, rated for 6000 pounds, part #RM-520, on our 2012 Honda Fit.
