Review of the Swagman Hitch Bike Racks on a 2013 Forest River Georgetown Motorhome

Today in our 2013 Forest River Georgetown, built on a F-53 Chassis, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Swagman Dispatch Platform Style two bike rack for RVs. That's part number S64684. It's specifically designed for RVs in that it has limited moving parts. So, it's going to be a lot more stable here at the rear of your RV. It secures our bikes in three locations. We've got a frame hook going over our top tube putting down pressure into the front and rear cradles. And we've got wheel straps. Let's go ahead and take our bike off.

We'll start by undoing the wheel straps first. We'll press in on the tab and then guide the strap out, out of the way. Then we can raise up our frame hook. We'll raise up the front one first. Well use our thumb to press in on the button.

Then, we'll do the second one. Then, we can take our bike off. Now, let's go ahead and replace those wheel straps. That way, we don't lose them or damage them. Now the only moving part we do have is our center mast. It actually folds down to the left.

This is where we can stow it when not in use. Or if you've got it installed on your vehicle it's ideal for accessing your rear hatch or trunk. Now let's do some measurements. Overall we've added about 32 inches to our RV. For the space between, we've got about 10 and a half inches. For our ground clearance, here at the very back we've got about 27 inches.

For underneath, our ground clearance is about 19 and a half inches. It secures into our receiver with an included anti-rattle bolt and lock. The nice thing about the anti-rattle bolt is it's going to help reduce a lot of play and rattle within our receiver and our bike rack to make a nice solid ride for our bikes. The nice thing about the lock is it's going to prevent anyone from removing our bike rack from our hitch. That's going to complete our test fit of the Swagman Dispatch Platform Style two bike rack for RVs, part number S64684 on our 2013 Forest River Georgetown. Built on an F-53 Chassis. This is our test course. Let's start with the slalom. This shows side-to-side action such as turning corners or evasive maneuvering. Then on to our alternating speed bumps. This shows twisting action such as hitting curbs, potholes, road debris or uneven pavement. Last of all, the solid speed bumps. This shows up and down action such as driving through a parking lot or parking garage. Or, driving in and out of the driveway.
