Today on our 2012 Toyota Highlander well be test fitting the Yakima Forklift Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number y02098. With a factory roof rack system installed onto our vehicle, well place the carrier onto our crossbars, and bring our front clamp around our front bar. We can then go ahead and remove our skewer. Well fit the t-bolt through the appropriate slot and tighten it down. Well slide our bracket up around our t-bolt and then we can reinstall our skewer. Well move to the rear, bring our rear bracket around our rear bar, fit the t-bolt through the appropriate slot, and tighten it down.
Now well go ahead and undo our rear wheel strap and make sure the skewer at the front is loose. Well grab our bike, place it onto our carrier, and drop our front forks down onto our skewer. Well secure the bike first by tightening down the skewer and then move to the rear and tighten down the wheel strap. With our bike all loaded up, were ready to go.
