Review of the Curt Roof Basket Waterproof Cargo Bag

Hey guys, today we're gonna be checking out the Curt storage bag for roof mounted baskets. You can see I've already got it in place here, just to give you a good idea what it looks like. Before we go any further, I'm gonna go ahead and give you some dimensions, that way you can decide whether or not it's going to be a good fit for you. Now, it measures 38 inches long, by 34 inches wide, and it's about 18 inches tall. Now I've got the Curt roof mounted cargo basket installed here, and the bag its it perfectly. It's part number C18115. But it's gonna work with most cargo baskets. It uses four straps, one per corner, to help keep it inside of the basket. Both sides feature buckles, so we can pull it down and keep it tight.

The whole thing is made out of a heavy duty vinyl. It's going to be resistant to tears and punctures. You can rest assured it's going to be safe from the elements on your roof.I've gone ahead and taken it out of the roof mounted basket, just so we can get a better look at it. Here on top you can see all of the stitched anchors for running our straps. Now when we wanna open it up, it only open up from this corner, that way, and this corner, that way.The large flap here in the front is gonna prevent any of the elements getting through to our zipper.

It also features a hook and loop fastener, to help keep that down and prevent the wind from getting underneath of it.Now on the inside, I'm using an air mattress to help blow it up a little bit, so you guys can see the full picture of what it looks like. So here's what I mean about it opening up anodically. As you can see, it doesn't open up the whole bag, but still enough room to put any of our gear inside and slide it to the corner. Here on the inside, it still features that heavy duty vinyl. It's gonna protect our gear from UV rays as well. Now it's up to you on how you wanna load your bag, whether you wanna do it on the ground, or up on the basket.

It may be a little bit easier to do it up in the basket, that way you don't have to lift it up, it may be heavy. But all in all, it's going to be a perfect addition to your roof mounted basket. This is gonna protect your gear from the elements.
