Review of the Erickson 1X15 Inch Recovery Strap

Today we're going to be taking a look at the inch by 15-foot Erickson Recovery Tow Strap with reinforced loop ends, part number EM59350. The Recovery Tow Strap features nylon-reinforced sewn ends that's going to help reduce wear and tear over time, and also makes it easy to hook on to a tow hook to pull out our vehicle. On one end it features an elastic strap so when we're done with the job we can roll it up and keep it contained. The strap is 15 foot long. It's an inch wide. The webbing strength of this tow strap is rated at 10,000 pounds per inch of width. It also has a break strength of 7,500 pounds. We'll be using our Recovery Tow Strap on our UTV here today.

As you can see, we've got it caught in quite the pickle. Our wheels are spinning, we're not getting any traction on the ice. Before we start towing though, we want to make sure that we don't exceed the 3,750 vehicle limit, but we're not going to have any problems with our UTV here today. Let's go ahead and pull this baby out. I'll go ahead and show you an easy way to hook it up. We've already got one end hooked to our UTV and, I just so happen to have my MaxxTow Receiver Tow Ring with me, part number MT70029.

Now we can simply hook it up and tow it out. I'm going to go ahead and undo my shackle and get it disconnected, put my loop over and hook it back up. Let's get this thing out. It's a good thing we've got 15 feet to work with. We wouldn't want to get our tow vehicle stuck in the same sticky situation. That's going to complete our look at the inch by 15-foot Erickson Recovery Tow Strap with reinforced loop ends, part number EM59350.
