Review of the etrailer RV Cargo on a 2017 Thor Four Winds Motorhome

What's up, everybody It's AJ with Today, we're gonna be checking out the e-trailer RV Cargo Carrier on our 2017 Thor Four Winds. It's gonna be a great cargo carrier option that attaches to your square bumpers on the back. This cargo carrier can hold 500 pounds of weight capacity. It's gonna hold up. I mean, here, the sturdiness of those bars.

They're really thick bars. You're not gonna have any problems. You're not gonna be able to bend them or anything or drop on them. I compare it to the GennyGos, I've worked with a couple of those, and those are like the thinner metal and they work, but I always just felt like if I was to get the generator up here and I would drop it or something, it might dent that metal or cause issues. If you drop the generator on this, these bars are gonna hold up.

It's not gonna bend or do anything. So with that in mind, let me give you some measurements. So you can maybe think about how much of your stuff it can actually hold. I'm gonna work in inside dimensions first. Inside the inside, you got 24 inches of space here.

And looks like 60 inches on the inside. So that's a number that'd maybe help you wrap it around your head. Like how much of your stuff can fit in here How many generators or coolers or gas cans Another cool thing this one can do, is it can actually flip up out of the way when you don't have it loaded. So if you just want less space added on the back of your RV, which, let's do that real quick before we fold it. From the bumper out, it looks like it sticks out about 26 inches.

So you can save that 26 inches by coming in here. Loosen these pins. It might want to lift up on the end of the carrier to get the pin out. We'll set it aside. I'll do the same thing on this side. There we go. Then you can tilt it up. Now we've tested this on a few different RVs and sometimes you can't tilt it up and sometimes you can, it just really depends on your bumper. How far it sticks out. We have a ladder on this one. We we're able to put it next to the ladder. There was no issues. We even have a hitch at the bottom and the two bars that hold the bumper on, and we had to go in between those. But in this case, it all worked out. Also be careful of your tail lights. These are in more, so you don't have to worry about hitting those. They don't stick out as much as other ones, we've tested it. So it's actually kind of cool that we get to tilt it up and show you that. You just replace the pins here on the top and that's gonna hold it in place. So it's not gonna come back down on you. I'll put it back down. Replace those pins. And while I'm doing that, I guess, you know, if you think you want a bigger version of this, another cargo carrier, you can actually get an extension that goes in the middle and it extends it out, and you can get a smaller version of this. And that one is 24 by 40. So that's something to check out if, you know, you want a different space, but if you get the smaller one, you're not stuck with it. You can always add that extension and it brings it out to this one, 24 by 6. Put those pins back in. And with those re-installed that about does it. I hope this helped..
