Review of the Rhino-Rack Anchor Straps

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Rhino Rack anchor straps, part number RRRBAS-2. If you just need one anchor strap, you can pick it up with part number RRRBAS. This anchor fits underneath your hood or hatch to create a temporary mounting point for balance during tie downs. It's great for vehicles that don't have any built in factory tie down points, or if you just don't want any strap to vehicle contact. It has a maximum load capacity of 496 pounds. The flat strap and t-bone design allows it to safely fit underneath your hood or hatch, and it's padded so it won't harm anything.

The strap is eleven inches long and it's made out of a durable polyester webbing. Now that we've gone over the features, I'll go ahead and show you how to use it. As you can see I've got most of my kayak tied down. I don't have a good spot to secure my bow strap. That's where the Rhino Rack anchor strap comes in handy. I can simply pop my hood, then we can find a vacant space away from anything hot.

We'll set it in place and then close the hood. As you can see, it's not coming out. Now we can run our bow strap like normal. Just want to be sure to go through our Rhino Rack anchor loop, come back to our cam buckle and pull it nice and tight. Then after we secure our excess strap we'll be all set.

You can just repeat this same process with your trunk or rear hatch. That's going to complete our look at the Rhino Rack anchor straps, part number RRRBAS-2.
