Review of the Rhino-Rack Anchor Strap

Today we are going to be looking at the Rhino Rack Anchor Strap. Part number RRRBAS. It's also available in a quantity of two, part number RRRBAS-2. This anchor fits underneath your hood or hatch to create a temporary mounting point for balance during tie downs. It's great for vehicles that don't have any built in factory tie down points or if you just don't want any strap to vehicle contact. It has a maximum load capacity of 496 pounds.

The flat strap and T bone design allows it to safely fit underneath your hood or hatch and it's padded so it won't harm anything. The strap is 11 inches long and it's made out of a durable polyester webbing. Now, that we've gone over the features. I'll go ahead and show you how to use it. As you can see, I've got most of my kayak tied down. Here in the rear, you can see I was able to secure my stern strap to the safety loop on my hitch.

Here in the front, however, I don't have a good spot to secure my bow strap. That's where the Rhino Rack Anchor Strap comes in handy. I can simply pop my hood. Then, we can find a vacant space, away from anything hot, we will set in place and then close the hood. As you can see, it's not coming out. Now, we can run our bow strap like normal.

Just want to be sure to go through our Rhino Rack Anchor loop, come back to our tam buckle and pull it nice and tight. Then, after we secure out excess strap, we'll be all set. Now we can safely and securely head down the road. That's going to complete our look at the Rhino Rack Anchor Strap. Part number RRRBAS.
