Review of the Rhino Rack Locking Endcaps for Vortex Aero Crossbars

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Locking Endcaps for the Vortex Aero Crossbars, part number RRVA-LEC4. These are designed to replace the standard ends on your Vortex Aero Crossbars. These have a metal tumbler inside and it comes with a standard key. It's just a plastic key that slides in to remove the endcaps. Let's go ahead and show you how they install. Now we already have our Vortex Aero Crossbars installed here on our vehicle. I'm going to turn that to the unlock position where we can remove it.

What comes on the standard crossbar has a plastic tumbler and it's more of a theft deterrent, not as much as an actual lock as these are. You'll notice that it's the same design but this lock here is actually metal. It installs the same way. It slides into position. Once it's pushed in place go ahead and take the key and lock it and you can't remove it. This will help keep any accessories that may be installed in the top C channel here from being removed.

We'll go ahead and repeat the same process at the other three locations here on our crossbars. As you can see in just a matter of a couple of minutes you can have the Rhino-Rack Locking Endcaps installed on our Vortex Aero Crossbars giving you that added level of security for your accessories installed on them. That'll do it for our quick look at the Rhino-Rack Locking Endcaps for Vortex Aero Crossbars, part number RRVA-LEC4. .
