Review of the Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring Kit

Speaker 1: Today we'll be taking a look at the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit. Part number RM-154. That wiring kit is one of five main components of a flat tow setup along with a base plate, braking system, tow bar, and safety cables. Speaker 2: As you can see with our wiring connected to our RV, our blinkers are working in sync. Our diode kit is gonna transfer our signal from our RV. Our diodes, what they're gonna do, is they're gonna protect our factory wiring from any backfeed.

If there's a wiring issue from our RV, and vice versa. Speaker 1: This is going to work with two wire systems, which combined your stop and turn signals. And a three wire system which separates your turn signals and your running lights. Speaker 1: The diodes are gonna have a max of 85 amps and 24 volts. Speaker 2: This is what your diode wiring kit is gonna look like when you get it.

You're gonna have a few zip ties. Your diodes, you're gonna have 30 foot of wire with your two four pull pins on it. You're also gonna have a tether, which is gonna go from one four pull that's coming our of the front of your vehicle to the back of your RV. And you're gonna get some wire loom. Speaker 1: Our customer Bill Dudley had this to say, "I got rid of the dolly to go with the tow bar.

Best thing I've ever done. So much easier to hook up and unhook than a dolly." Bill is right, using this as part of a flat tow setup can be much easier than setting up a tow dolly each time. Plus, you will not have to find a place to store your tow dolly.Customers compare this to the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 4-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit. With that kit, you are going to get a six to seven way flexo-coil adapter to connect to your motor home. As well as a six pull in for your four flat wiring to connect to your vehicle side.

This is great for newer RVs with seven pull connections. While our high powered kit is for older motor homes with the four pull connection. And that completes our look at the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit part number RM-154.
