Review of the Thule Roof Cargo Carrier on a 2006 Honda CR-V

Today on our 2006 Honda CRV we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Canyon Rooftop Mounted Cargo Basket. As you can see we have it already mostly in place up on top of our Thule Arrow Blade Edge roof rack. This cargo basket is going to be a sturdy steel construction with a hundred and fifty pound weight capacity measuring forty nine inches long, forty inches wide and have a depth of six inches. We're going to show you how to place on this last foot since they all go in the same way and one thing to note before you get it up here on your vehicle, is measure your center to center crossbar spread and adjust your brackets before you put it up on the vehicle. That will make it a lot easier when it comes to installation. Once you have it up and in place, you're then going to take your u shaped bolt with your two washers and two wing nuts. Place one washer on each side, bring it up underneath of your cross bar and lay one washer and one nut on each side of the bracket.

Then, go ahead and thread down those wing nuts. Once you have it nice and tight if you look up here, you'll see a little flange that's going to stick off the one side right here. On the other side you're going to have a hole and a slot on the side of the bracket. If you look on the plastic cover, you're going to see the little square and it's just going to fit over the flange perfectly and then the whole on the other side will fit your lock set. Place it over the top and hook that flange into that piece there.

Push in, and lock to secure your cover. Now you're ready to hit the road with your all new Thule Canyon Rooftop Mounted Cargo Basket, part number TH859 on our 2006 Honda CRV. .
