Review of the Thule Trunk Bike Racks on a 2015 Honda Accord

Today on our 2015 Honda Accord, we're going to take a look at the Thule Passage 3 Bike Rack Carrier Trunk Mount. That part number is TH911XT. We have a bike on the rack, and we have our rack hooked to the vehicle. I just want to show you a few things about it. How we have our bike tied down to our rack, we have a total of three straps. We have two up top, and we have our anti-sway strap around the side. That's going to keep the bike from swaying as you're riding.

We're going to go ahead and take the two off the top first, then we're going to take off our anti-sway strap. If you're loading your bike, you just do the opposite way. You do the anti-sway strap first, then your other two straps. We're going to remove our bike, set it off to the side. I will say, it is always a good habit to go ahead and replace your straps so that you don't lose them or damage them. We're going to do that first. All right.

Now, we're going to take a couple of measurements. The first one will be overall distance when we have our cradle arms out, and that is 31 inches. Now, we can adjust our cradle arms to go in, so we're going to press two silver buttons here, turn it sideways, bring it in, locks in position. Do the other one same way. Now, we're going to take one more measurement, overall distance. Overall distance, I'm looking at 15 inches.

How we have our bike rack hooked to our vehicle, we have a total of six straps. Each strap has a hook with a rubber coating so it doesn't damage our vehicle or scratches it at all. We have two up top, we have two to the side, and we have two underneath our trunk. Each one of them is able to be tightened with a cam lever, so this one here will do the one on the driver's side, this will do the passenger side. Once again, all you do is, if you need to loosen it, you press it, get your slack you need.

If not, you pull and tighten it up. Now, the cam lever here on the side, that actually does the one on the side and the one on the bottom. Once again, you just make sure you get it nice and snug how you need it, or if you need to let your slack out, you just press it out, pull out what you need. We also have four nice cushions. We have two on the top, two below. That's going to protect our vehicle from scratches or any dents or anything like that. With the 2015 Honda Accord, the Thule Fit Guide is 6, and right here inside here, there's our numbers. You just set it to 6, take the screws out, screw where you need it to go, and you're good to go. That's going to be our complete look at the Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier Trunk Mount. That part number again is TH911XT, on today's 2015 Honda Accord.
