Today we'll be taking a look at WeatherTech's BumpStepXL Hitch-Mounted Bumper Protector.Hey now, check it out. With our camper shell installed and our roof rack on it, we can easily get up here and load and unload it. The WeatherTech BumpStep acts as a bumper guard for minor rear-end collisions. As well as a step to make it easy to get into the back of your truck bed, or if you had an SUV, to get up to your roof rack.It has a 300 pound weight capacity, so it can support both you and anything that you're loading up on your vehicle. the non-slick surface is textured for sure footing, and it's constructed of a composite resin, so it's gonna be durable and resistant to UV rays. Our step measures about 24 inches long, 4 1/4 inches deep, and 3 1/2 inches tall.The step works with two inch hitches and has four depth settings, so you can adjust how far it sticks out from your bumper.

After you slide it in and find the appropriate depth for your vehicle, we'll take the nut that comes in the kit, you'll slide it in the hex-shaped opening on the one side, we'll slide it in the hitch to that depth. We'll install our anti-rattle bolt, this'll thread right into the nut, keeping it secure in your hitch. And after you tighten it down, it'll prevent any vibration and movement.Okay, so if you're gonna be using this as a step, to step up on, you don't want it wobbling around, you want it be nice and sturdy, so you have good, solid footing.
