Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Tekonsha T-One 4-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan. Having four-pole trailer wiring on any vehicle with a hitch is a great idea because even if you aren't planning on pulling a trailer, there may be a time that you may need to and legally, you're gonna want to have this because it's gonna keep you safe and legal by giving you your running lights, your turn signals and brake lights. This T-One is a great, you know, it's kind of my recommendation when it comes to wiring in general, Tekonsha's one of the best. The quality of wires is really nice and they use OEM style plug connectors to make it plug and play. There's no splicing into your factory wiring and it's also module and fuse protected. So even if you have faulty trailer wiring, it's not gonna back feed and cause any issue on your vehicle. more

Before we do that though, let's take a moment, we'll check this out, and make sure it's gonna work for you. For those of you who plan on pulling a small trailer around or even using the light-up accessory, you'll need a way to power up those lights, that way they work properly, and a kit like this is going to allow you to do that. If you have a hitch on your Aviator, it's worth picking up a four-pole trailer wiring harness. And that way, if you ever have to plan on pulling a trailer, or just randomly in life, you have an accessory that has lights, or just need to move something, you can hook up to that trailer and stay safe and legal. And the reason being is this four-pole wiring will give you the light signals to your trailer, which include your running lights, your turn signals, and brake lights, letting the people behind you know what you're actually doing as you tow that trailer. And overall, this is a really nice system. Tekonsha makes some of the best wiring that I deal with day to day, and definitely the one that I'll pick, but it's also custom-fit to this vehicle, meaning that when you plug into the taillights to get those signals, it truly is just a plug-and-play that goes in. more

It's gonna be, kinda your classic 7-way round type connector that all those types of trailers use, or the vast majority of them at least. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Curt 4 Pole Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2023 Volvo XC90. If you have a hitch already installed on your Volvo or you're planning to, it might be worth picking up four pole trailer wiring and that way if you do ever need to pull the trailer, you'll have the light functions to keep you safe and legal. Your four-pole trailer wiring harness isn't gonna allow you to have any trailer brakes, but it will give you your running lights, your turn signals, as well as your brake lights. So on a smaller trailer that doesn't have brakes, this is what you're gonna be using. Now this one in particular is mounted up inside the vehicle and that's not super common. You're probably used to seeing them hanging down by the safety chain loops, but I actually prefer having the four-pole inside the vehicle. more
