Hi there Honda owners. Today on your 2019 Honda HRV we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Tekonsha's T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness. This is what our wiring harness looks like when it's installed. You can't really even tell that it's there because it's hidden underneath our spare tire compartment cover. And when you're ready to use it, you simply drape it over the back and it will pinch in between our weatherstripping holding it in place, you just want to make sure you avoid the striker here in the middle. Pinching it in the weatherstripping isn't going to cause any damage to it, it's actually just going to hold it in place for us and we can choose the amount of length that we need then hook up to our trailer. Our four pole flat connector here is going to provide us with all the necessary lighting that we'll need on our trailer, which includes our left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps, which will keep us DOD compliant in all States. more

Rob: Rob here etrailer.com, and today we're going to be taking a look at the Tekonsha T1 vehicle wiring harness with a four pole flat trailer connector on our 2019 Honda Pilot. Now, our Tekonsha wiring is going to provide us with a four pole flat trailer connector, so we're going to have all the required lights to get down the road safely, like our turn signals, our taillights, and our brake lights. Now whether we're towing a trailer or we have an accessory that has lights on it, it's always an easier way to have a plug rather than trying to splice into your wiring, because they can be a little nerve-wracking for some customers, and for good reasons.I don't want to hack into my wiring and my vehicle either, but our Tekonsha wiring is going to be for the factory tow package, so we're just going to have this plugged inside the vehicle. It'll plug in. There's no cutting or splicing required. Since it is designed to stay on the outside of the vehicle, they're even going to include a grommet, so that we don't have to worry about drilling any holes or anything else. more

Rob here at etrailer.com and today you're going to be taking a look at the Curt T-Connector vehicle wiring harness with the 4-Pole flat trailer connector, on our 2011 Honda Odyssey, and here's what our wiring is going to look like once we have it installed, it is going to provide us with a 4-Pole flat trailer connector so we can have all the lines required to get us down the road safely when we're towing a trailer, like our tail lights, our turn signals and our brake lights. Now our wiring is going to have a dust cover on it, so it's going to help protect any kind of dirt and debris from getting inside, making sure that our connectors are going to be clean, however it is designed to stay on the inside of the car until we're ready to use it. So we can just simply open up our hatch. We can wind up all of our excess wire and we can keep it back here in our cargo area. Then whenever we do want to use it, we'll just drop our wire down so we got enough room to reach our hitch. Just want to make sure that the wire is on the Weatherstripping, but away from the actual latch mechanism itself. The Weatherstripping is going to have enough give to where it's not going to damage the wire. more

It's going to give us our brake lights, our running lights, and both left and right turn signals. It's going to have a built-in rubber dust cap, which is going to help protect our terminals from any type of corrosion. Now I do recommend using some dielectric grease every now and again, just to go that extra mile to keep them protected. Now our wiring is going to have six amps per circuit for our tail lights, and three amps per circuit for our stop and turn lights. What that means is that's going to provide us with plenty of power to run any type of light, whether it be an incandescent or an LED.Now one of the things I really like about this wiring, is that it's going to use a module box. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Honda CR-V

Today on our 2016 Honda CRV, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the current T-connector vehicle wiring harness with a 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number C56158.So, here's what our wiring's going to look like once we have it installed. It is going to provide us with a 4-pole flat trailer connector and all the circuits we need to safely get down the road, like our tail lights, turn signals, and our brake lights.Whenever we're not using it, it is designed to stay on the inside of the vehicle, so we can simply lift our hatch open, and we can store it down by our spare tire. When we do want to use it, we can simply pull it out and so long as we stay away from the latch area, the weather stripping will have enough cushion that it won't damage our wire. Then we can simply close the hatch, and we can hook up.Now, wiring is going to be a custom fit for a CRV. We're not going to have to cut or slice anything. We're just going to have one T-connector that's going to go behind the drivers side panel here. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harnes Installation - 2013 Honda Odyssey- Video

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harnes Installation - 2013 Honda Odyssey

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2013 Honda Odyssey, we're going to be installing CURT's vehicle-wiring harness with a four-pole flat trailer connector, part number C56378. Speaker 2: This four-pole wiring is going to provide your trailer with all the necessary lighting. This includes your left-turn signal, right-turn signal, tail lamps, and brake lamps, so you'll be DOT compliant in all states. The control box receives its own power from the vehicle and has a fuse-protected circuit. This way, it doesn't draw directly from your vehicle's tail lamp circuits. So, in case your trailer has a fault on its circuits, it's not going to affect your vehicle's circuits. It has an included dust cap to help keep out any dirt and debris. When you're using your harness, it just drapes out over the rear bumper, and it gets squished between the weather stripping. This isn't going to cause any damage to the wiring, as there is some play room there. And when you're done using it, you can just fold it up and store it inside your vehicle. more

Best 2009 Honda Fit Trailer Wiring Options

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best wiring options for your 2009 Honda Fit.Here we've got our best options so you can have a 4-pole connector to provide the lights for your trailer. You've got the Tekonsha, part number 118420 and the Curt, part number 56011. The main differences between these two harness are the shape of the control box and their power output. The Tekonsha's control box is going to have all the wiring coming out of the bottom. This is great because it can be mounted in a way that water can't pool on the bottom to enter inside the box. And this control box also has a potting material that goes all the way throughout the box to keep your wiring secure and connected to the circuit board and keep any moisture from entering inside causing corrosion, which gives this one a little bit more robust and durable lifetime. While the Curt has it's 4-pole connector coming out one side, the rest of its vehicle wiring coming out the other side. Now, this can be a benefit in some ways by separating them but it could also be not as convenient as Tekonsha because it can take up a little more space and the most common point for water entry inside the control box is the connector so, ideally you would have your wiring facing down to prevent any water from collecting on the ends. However, the power rating for the Curt is going to be rated at 3 amps for your stoplights and 6 amps for your taillights while the Tekonsha's power rating is going to be 2.1 amps for the stoplights and 5 amps for the taillights. more
