Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Captiva Sport

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Captiva, we're going to be taking a look at and telling you how to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number C56257. This is what is looks like once installed. When you are ready to use it, you're going to take it out of your compartment here and lay it across the top of our weather stripping, making sure to stay away from the center where our latch is, so we don't pinch our wires and drop our cover down over top of that. That's going to help that hold in place and we'll just close our hatch. We can hitch it up to our trailer when we are done with it, put our cover on and open our hatch back up and we'll just curl up our wire. You can actually use the top, the cap as a wrap to hold it up. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Chevrolet Captiva Sport

Today on our 2012 Chevrolet Captiva Sport, we'll be installing the Curt T vehicle wiring harness with the 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number C56026. First off, we'll go ahead and show you how to use a 4-pole. We'll go ahead and take the wire out the spare tire area where it's stored when it's not in use. We'll pull as needed to reach our accessory or trailer, being sure we stay away from the hatch as pinching it can cause damage and shorting out the wire. We'll go ahead and shut the hatch, and we're ready to use it. To begin our install, we'll go ahead and get access to the spare tire area on the vehicle. We'll need to remove the threshold right here. To that you can use a screwdriver or in this case we decided to use a trim panel tool to get underneath the fasteners and pull up the releases gently. more
