To begin our install, we'll first open up the back hatch. Then we'll locate and remove the driver's side access panel door. Underneath the access panel door will be an access panel cover. We'll need to remove it to gain access behind the driver's side quarter panel. To remove the access panel cover, there are two push-pin fasteners. We'll go ahead and remove the fasteners and then the panel. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 1997 Chevy Venture

Today on this 1997 Chevy Venture van we are going to install Tow Ready T-One connector, part number 118355. The first step is going to be to access the rear hatch area. We are going to remove the threshold and get into the side panel here where we will need to make our connection. You want to gently get under and pry up on the threshold. Remove it out of your way. We have a Phillips screw we have to remove here from this hold down. And we are going to get in behind our panel here and pull it away to access our trailer plug. You see here, after we have pealed back the trim panel, we have located the plug for the rear taillight. There is a small locking tab. You need to press on that. Separate the two connectors. We are going to take our new Tow Ready connector. We are just going to plug that inline with the manufacturer connector. Make sure you press them together firmly, that the locking tabs snap into place. 0:59 more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2002 Chevrolet Venture

Today on this 2002 Chevrolet Venture we are going to install part number 118355 from Tow Ready. This T- One wire harness actually connects inside the vehicle on the driver side underneath the interior panel. Okay, it is going to be behind this panel right here. So to get to this panel we have to take off this threshold first. When you take this threshold off, there is a bunch of little connections in here. And this one button here rips very easy so be careful when you take it apart. Okay, we will take this fastener apart. And then we will start peeling back the panel. All right, we pulled the panel back, now we have access to our port right here. On some models, this port is actually down below the A/ C unit sometimes too. So it can be a real bear to find but we got lucky here and it is pretty much right out in the open. more
