Hey, everybody. Welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at the PTC Custom Fit Air Filter for your 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now, guys, this can be a nice way of going ahead and replacing that older filter that you might be having. So if you are having a 2021, might be just enough time to go ahead and start replacing our filter. Here today is gonna be our replacement.

As you can see, we have a nice little coating there, keeping all of our ridges in a nice, formed position so they're not wobbling, not gonna be interacting with each other, staying nice and open, allowing the air flow to go through. To go ahead and install it, though, we just need to come inside our engine bay here. We're gonna be right here next to our driver's side and this is actually gonna be our housing for it. We're gonna have two little tabs that we need to go ahead and pop out of the way like so. And the back, we're just gonna have a hinge here that we actually are sitting in, so we just need to go ahead, work this guy out, and simply lift it out.

Now, you can go through the process of detaching all of these if you need to. However, gonna be enough for us just to go ahead and gently allow ourselves to open that up and get our old filter out of the way. So, here we are today on that older filter. Not the worst state I've ever seen. You can definitely see, though, it is a lot more dirty than our new one.

You can see that gray in there losing a little bit of that yellow, white, as you guys can see. Now, it's definitely not the worst on here. This guy may not fully need one, but for today's purposes, let's go ahead and replace it to see how easy it is to do. So we simply wanna go ahead, take our filter, place it in just like so 'til it's nice and seated. Go ahead and make sure your seals are properly seated around your housing just like so, and then we would just wanna watch our back hinge here.

Go ahead and slot that under and inside. So, won't go straight out, it'll kinda have to go to the side, then in, then down. And as you guys can see, making sure that our housing is fitted correctly here, our tabs can go right to the side there. Then we just simply need to replace our latches like so and like so, and there we are, already installed. So, doesn't take too much time at all, guys. Again, that's gonna be a great way of going ahead and making sure you get clean air to that engine, making sure you're not having the debris in it. Now, one thing to take note of with you are undoing this, just kinda watch it. Don't take it out, leave your car and attended, and then go right back to it. Definitely don't want any leaves or anything falling in there as that's what this guy is preventing from happening. So just make sure you are appropriately installing this, not having any leaves or anything get in that intake. Don't wanna be ruining that engine. Doesn't take you much time at all to get it in there. Well, this is gonna be a great, little way of going ahead, getting this old filter out of there, giving yourself a fresh one for your car.
