Today, we're going to be taking a look at the DZ Rough Step Running Boards. These running boards are going to make it easy to get into and out of your vehicle. They're going to offer an extra wide platform, which is going to offer superior stability. They're going to feature a nice, rugged-step surface that's going to have the industrial grating. I do want to bring you in for a closer look so you can really get a detailed shot of what that rough design looks like. You can see right here that we got the ridges on it. That's really going to help provide great traction for sure footing.
You can see how it's graded. All throughout here, there's going to be slots; all throughout the entire length of the running board. That's going to allow water, mud, ice, and snow, and whatever else you get on the running boards, to easily drain through or drain off the step. They're also very easy to clean. They're going to be made from a sturdy, twelve-gauge steel construction. They're going to have the NRT powder coat finish; which is going to provide excellent rust and corrosion protection, and resistance.
The NRT is going to stand for no-rust technology. This kit's going to come with your running boards. It's is going to come with your end caps. It's going to come with vehicle-specific mounting brackets; and all the necessary hardware to get them fully assembled and fully-installed on your particular vehicle. What I'm showing you today is just the running boards and the end caps because the style of vehicle-specific brackets vary, depending on your particular year make and model when it comes to your vehicle. These are going to be made right here in the USA.
They're covered with a limited, lifetime warranty. A few measurements I want to go over with you real quick. The step width . That's going to give us a measurement of 7 inches. The height of the step, or the thickness of the step, measuring from bottom to the very top of one of these ridges right here, that actually measures about 2 3/8 of an inch thick or tall. The length of the running boards are going to depend on your specific vehicle.

Years ago I had a jacked up truck and had a welder make me custom steps. When I saw these, it reminded me so much of the ones I had then. I waited and when I was ready I bought them from Etrailer. My past experience with Etrailer was very good.I always found that in the beginning all the types of side steps look nice, but after a while no one is able to keep them nice. These are durable. Water, dirt, snow, everything will just fall through. Granted, the truck I have them on doesn't get beat up at all, so these will last a lifetime. Not only that, its different than everyone else's. I would buy them again for any truck. P.S. I had them installed, so not sure how hard it is. Seemed easy enough , I just work a lot. Looking for durable with good looks, this is for you. Get the Black Aluminum.
They arrived. First nice day got outside to install. Opened boxes to lay all parts out to check off with parts sheet. NO nuts or bolts and one bracket missing. Took over 3 weeks to get missing parts. NOT HAPPY AT ALL. Way over priced also for 2 short running boards. Would have done better to just order boards for a regular van the cut off the one for passenger side. All in all I wasn't very satisfied
These are the toughest running boards I have ever bought. Looks good, the soil/mud drops out the bottom, and the foot traction is great. Never slip.
The rough steps are perfect because they are wide and provide excellent grip with wet or muddy boots. Very sturdy and durable finish. The brackets fit perfectly on my Silverado 3500hd without having to drill holes in my mew truck.
Perfect fit, no drilling, easy intstall, look great.
