The aerodynamic Yakima CoreBars let you build a quiet yet heavy-duty roof rack for your vehicle. The crossbars require 4 Yakima BaseLine, RidgeLine, SkyLine, or TimberLine towers and a custom fit kit to mount the rack to your roof. Each bar extends past the towers to maximize space for mounting carriers and accessories. The bars are constructed of galvanized steel so they can carry more weight than traditional aluminum aero bars. And they're coated in black vinyl to help prevent corrosion.
Aerodynamic Design
The CoreBar's teardrop shape controls air flow over and under the bar to significantly decrease wind noise and vibration even at highway speeds. This lessens the need to add a fairing to your roof rack. The aero-style bar also reduces drag to help maintain fuel efficiency.
Heavy-Duty Steel Construction
The Yakima CoreBar is constructed of roll-formed, galvanized steel. This heavy-duty steel construction enables the CoreBars to carry significantly more weight than traditional aluminum aero bars (up to 220 lbs depending on the weight capacity of your roof). The bars are also coated in black vinyl to protect them from corrosion.
Hassle-Free Installation
The CoreBars install on any of Yakima's StreamLine towers - BaseLine, RidgeLine, SkyLine, or TimberLine - with included brackets. Just remove the endcaps, slide the brackets onto the bars, and replace the endcaps. Then place the bars on your towers with the brackets seated in the tower BarBeds. Use the torque tool included with the towers to tighten the bars in place.
Maximum Cargo Carrying Capacity
The full-length CoreBar extends past your towers to provide more space for mounting carriers and accessories on your roof. The CoreBar is also compatible with most universal, clamp-on carriers and accessories.

The heavy-duty BaseLine towers allow you to mount 2 Yakima crossbars to your vehicle with a naked roof. The towers can be adjusted during installation to ensure your crossbars are level and that the rack is seated correctly on your roof. The BaseLines' versatile BarBeds accommodate Yakima's full line of crossbars. The towers install with Yakima's DropHook system and BaseClips .
Versatile BarBed
The BaseLine's BarBed is specifically designed to work with Yakima's entire line of crossbars.
The BarBed is curved to accommodate the elliptical shape of the CoreBar and JetStream crossbar. The CoreBar includes brackets that slide over the bar and secure to the towers with bolts. The JetStream attaches directly to the tower with bolts.
The towers also work with Yakima RoundBars with adapters . The adapters slide over the bars and secure to the towers with bolts.
The crossbars mount to the BaseLine towers with the included torque tool. The tool clicks 3 times once you've reached the correct amount of torque so you don't have to worry about over- or under-tightening. This is the only tool you will need to secure the bars to the towers and the towers to your roof.
Adjustable Pitch and Toe Angle
The pitch and toe angle of each tower adjusts to provide a level mounting surface and to ensure the rack is seated correctly on your roof. To set up, install the towers on your crossbars and place them so the bottoms of the towers are facing up. Next, adjust the pitch and toe angle to the correct position as indicated by your fit kit's instruction manual. The pitch adjustments are labeled A, B, and C, and the toe angle adjustments are labelled 1, 2, and 3. Once these are set place the rack on your roof.
Secure Installation with DropHook System
The towers install with custom-fit BaseClips . To mount a tower remove the cover, open the door inside the assembly, and attach the BaseClip to the hook inside the tower. The clip adjusts on 3 axes as you tighten it to ensure a safe and secure fit. Once the clip is tightened down, close the door to secure the clip in place.
Same Key System Locks
BaseLine towers are compatible with Yakima SKS lock cores (Y07204 - sold separately) that allow you to secure the roof rack to your roof. The SKS locks are all keyed alike so a single key opens all the locks. The locks can also be swapped out to make all of your Yakima products keyed alike.

Really easy to install & work as specified. So happy with the customer support/service at etrailer.1608442
Excellent solution for my 2023 Chevy Silverado. In the past, I have had rails installed on the roof of my pickup trucks, but I find the BaseLine towers to be a better solution, since they don't permanently change the truck. Plus, they are much more solid than SkyLine system on the rails.1750050

2011 Honda Element
Was skeptical at first because I needed the posts as well for my 2011 Honda Element. The Honda crossbars were not adequately weight rated and is why I opted for Yakima. Couldn't be happier with my choice as this assembly has served me well throughout the year.419289
Love my Yakima roof rack!! It exceeds my expectations.great product. Also thank etrailer for the tec support! great staff always there to help thanks again!!1733360

Perfect. Perfect. Easy to install and high quality. Confident in this product. Excellent instructions. Used with towers of course! Towers and crossbars have demonstrated to be strong and durable with several trips with kayaks.808721
We purchased the Yakima Skyline Towers roof rack with the Jet Stream crossbars. Took about 2 hours to install on the naked roof of our Flex. I drilled through the roof strip for the mounting bolts and they fit tighter than the factory rails. Very happy with our choice.506386

Your notice of schemes was a lot better than the yakima site provided. They did not suggest the scheme you did.
But when the products arrived, the instructions were by yakima. Generally worked as instructed except the tower to tower transverse mounting dimensions needed to be tweaked for a perfect fit.1661821

2022 GMC Canyon
So far so good. Purchased these towers to use on a 2022 GMC Canyon with HD bars that I already had, primarily to carry my canoe. Yakima's fitting instructions worked perfectly and the whole system seems really solid.1521562

I ordered the wrong set up for my car, but the excellent customer service specialist set me up and expedited my roof rack that fit perfectly. I highly recommend calling and speaking with the knowledgeable staff about your needs. I'm super happy with the experience overall! 825473
Ackage came 2 days early the install was somewhat easy (did it by myself) Did not get to mount anything to it but seems really sturdy. One thing I can say is mark out your mounting points with provided stickers then put up and make adjustments to the roof rack.1648318

2020 Subaru Impreza
Product was packaged well, arrived in perfect condition. Instructions easy to follow. Installation took less than (1) hour. I did it alone & I’m 76 yrs. old. Is very sturdy. Looks good on my 5 door Subaru. The feature that impressed me the most in dealing with your company was how I was able to track my package inside your facility with the name of the employee handling the item before it even shipped. Very organized. Would definitely recommend you to others & purchase from you again.1009131

2019 Toyota Highlander
I have not bought car roof racks for decades--back when there were those very useful rain gutters. So I was shocked with the high prices. But what you get today is much more carefully engineered with a complicated construction. This Yakima version even comes with a manual 3.5 mm hex driver which turns out to be a torque wrench too. You use it 16 times, torquing to its limit, in installing the two cross rails on the four towers. Years ago you installed the towers where you wanted them on the rain gutters and adjusted the cross rails by sight. No more. You must go on line to Yakima. You must get the precisely engineered dimensions for your exact vehicle. You even adjust the towers for the roof slope and any toe-in of the roof line. Pay attention to the precise instructions. The result is very solid. I wish that I had more space between the cross rails. There is room for another 6 or 8 inches given where the door openings on my 2019 Toyota Highlander are spaced. But then the rear base clips would be different and that logistics would add yet more to the price. I am confident that I can secure a 4 X 8 sheet of plywood on the cross rails. And I will find my vehicle in the mall parking lot easier with those good looking rails. While I am happy with the end product, I wish the vendors had given more explanation of the fixed dimensions of today's installations. That would have helped make my on-line shopping less frustrating. Part of the problem is that Yakima and Thule do not provide cross rails for my LE Highlander's existing tower bases. And I could not get 60 inch cross rails on any of the versions that fit my LE's bases.881161

I want to thank the staff at eTrailer for their outstanding support. After my roof rack order got off to a shaky start the customer service staff stepped in and made it right; 100% RIGHT. I cannot thank them, and eTrailer, enough. Regarding the roof rack itself, I have now installed it and can vouch that the installation was a breeze. All parts fit and the instructions were correct. For the record, this is not my first purchase from eTrailer (I've bought hitch items from them before) and it won't be my last. They have ALWAYS given great service, their web site works, their products and descriptions are good, etc., etc. Thank you! 326327

2019 Toyota Tacoma
The 60" CoreBar Crossbars will be much more useful to us than the original 50" bars placed on our shell at the factory. The only issue I had was that there were no instructions with the bars. It took a little while for me to figure out how the old bars came off and how to put the new ones on but I'll consider that a learning experience.1342823

The instructions were different for another set of bars. Was a pain to get right...all the measurements on Yakima were off...I figured it out on my own...should have got Thule or nicer bars ..end caps were not good either...flawed fit... otherwise will do just not happy with the product perse or instructions...delivery good...will see how they do.893022

This Yakima rack system for my 2017 Kia Sedona works great and are rock solid. I have two Kayaks I take to the lake, river, and beach house for vacations. Dena was extremely helpful and kept me up to date on everything. It’s very seldom to find a company with reps that actually care about the customer!!!! Please keep this going! The shipping was fast and easy and I had them installed within an hour in this Georgia heat! The only thing missing was the etrailer stickers......... ;p I would definitely recommend this product from etrailer for any of you rack needs!!!538899

For your 2018 Acura RDX with a naked roof the roof racks that have the widest spread (distance between bars) are the Yakima roof racks like the CoreBar roof rack part numbers # Y00422, # Y28TR, # Y06148, and # Y06105 which has a spread of 32 inches. The other options are about 5 inches closer. view full answer...
For the 2018 Honda Pilot the widest crossbar spread roof rack we offer is the Yakima setups like the CoreBar kit that includes part numbers # Y00422, # Y28TR, and # Y06152 which is a confirmed fit and has a spread of 32 inches. view full answer...
Though I strongly recommend buying an individual rack for each vehicle, you can build a modular Yakima kit for your three vehicles. I'm recommending Yakima because their crossbars have a full channel on the underside of the bar, letting them be fit to multiple vehicles without needing separate bars. The Toyota Camry requires the longest bar, so you'll fit this bar to the other vehicles.
To do this, you'll need the following parts for all three vehicles:
Yakima JetStream bar, 60 inches, view full answer...
I have a solution for you. I spoke with my contact at Yakima, and she confirmed that the Yakima Q Towers were discontinued in 2016. They were replaced by the Yakima Baseline towers. The Q-clips that you have will only work with the discontinued towers.
With that being said, there are still roof rack systems available with the newer Baseline towers for your 2015 Ford Taurus with a bare roof. For that roof rack system, I recommend the following parts:
- Yakima CoreBar Crossbars - view full answer...
For an aero bar roof rack that fits the flush rails of your 2009 Jeep Commander I'd recommend the Yakima CoreBar kit part # Y00422, # Y53TR, and # Y00225. This fits directly to the flush rails on your vehicle roof, gives you aero shaped bars which minimize wind noise, and aren't nearly as expensive as some of the other kits. view full answer...
For your 2016 Honda Accord, I highly recommend the Yakima Roof Rack System, which includes parts # Y00422, # Y28TR, # Y06148 and # Y06150. This system features two 60 inch aero-style crossbars that will help to create a very quiet roof rack when installed and reduce wind drag and vibration. The rack is confirmed to fit your vehicle and the installation will be quick and easy using the clamp-style attachments to secure the towers to the roof. I really like the Yakima Corebar roof rack that consists of part numbers # Y00422, # Y28TR, # Y06102, and # Y06139. The aero shape of these bars will give you a quiet roof rack that will have a minimal affect on fuel mileage when compared to other racks. view full answer...
Since your fishing kayaks are fairly heavy at 68-lbs each you could be above the total weight capacity for the roof on your 2017 Honda Ridgeline by the time you add the weight of the Yakima roof rack and the two Malone J-style kayak carriers. Their Downloader # MPG114MD and J-Pro # MPG117MD carriers weigh 12-lbs each so two of these is another 25-lbs or so in addition to the 18-lb weight of the Yakima roof rack. The kayaks and these items total about 179-lbs and that is more than most vehicle view full answer...
If you wanted to use the 60 inch CoreBars part # Y00422 that you referenced on the roof of your 2017 Ford Explorer you could. You'd need the towers part # Y53TR and the landing pad # Y00245 and you'd be set.
Since the CoreBars use a sleeve that can slide up and down the bar easily as the attachment point you can go with a longer bar and not have to worry about fit issues. view full answer...
If you have the full factory roof rack on your 2017 Toyota Tacoma with both side rails and crossbars then we wouldn't have anything to work in conjunction with this. However, if you just have the factory raised side rails then you can add crossbars using both part # Y00422 and part # Y33TR.
You can also add locks using part # Y07204. The crossbars are 60" long and are of an aero shape which will provide less wind resistance/drag.

The Yakima round crossbar system is decent but sometimes it can be hard to mount accessories and get them to stay still, plus they don't help with wind noise and drag.
For your application I recommend checking out the Yakima CoreBar roof rack because it has the nice aero-style crossbars but sits at a lower price-point since these aren't the high-end aluminum bars. Here are the parts you'll need for the naked roof of your 2016 Ford Edge:

You can see a combination of these parts with some JetStream Crossbars, part # Y00425, at the link below. If you already have Yakima crossbars, then the is no worry as the BaseLine Towers are designed to work with Yakima's entire range of crossbars. view full answer...

- Yakima JetStream Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 50" # Y00425

You should not have any problems with the roof on your 2019 Toyota Highlander. When Yakima redesigned their towers for naked roofs they add two additional adjustments, toe and pitch. A Yakima rack on a 2019 or a 2020 Toyota Highlander will have front tower pitch measurement of 6º and the rear tower pitch measurement of -6º. This is done precisely for the slope in the roof of the Toyota Highlander. I have included a picture of the pitch diagram from Yakima's installation manual below.

I would be happy to help you set your 2019 Hyundai Tucson up to transport your kayaks. You are going to need a roof rack but lets start with the kayak carrier. I recommend the Thule Compass Kayak and SUP Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - J-Style, Post Style, or Saddle - 2 Kayaks or SUPs item # TH890000. The Compass allows you to transport two kayaks on your roof rack crossbars. You will be able to carry in the stacker, J-style, or saddle position to maximize usable space on your crossbars. Yakima recommends 60 inch Jetstream crossbars part # Y00426 for your 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan with a naked roof as well as part numbers # Y28TR, # Y06117, and # Y06150 to complete the rack.
I was able to find some pictures from Yakima that shows these bars installed on a Tiguan like yours and found that they extended quite a bit past the feet of the rack. See attached picture.
Based on that I can't see why the 50 inch bars part # Y00425 wouldn't work instead. view full answer...
I have a solution for you to install Yakima round crossbars on your 2013 Mazda CX-3 however, there are no Q Clips or Q Towers designed to fit.
Instead you will want to use the BaseLine Towers # Y28TR with the RoundBar Adapters # Y03536. Then for the fit kit you'll use the BaseClips # Y06130 and # Y06132. Two of each BaseClip is needed.
Yakima recommends 48 inch Round Crossbars # Y00408 for the CX-3. view full answer...

Since your 2021 Kia Telluride has a naked roof without side rails, I recommend going with Thule SquareBar Evo Crossbars - Steel - 60" Long - Qty 2 # TH712500. You'll also need the appropriate Feet # TH710501 and Fit Kit # TH98ZE.
Since you mentioned adding a basket, I would look into the Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket - Steel - 49" x 40" x 6" - 150 lbs item # TH859XT. This is a popular and very nice option that will fit your roof very well. I attached a few demonstration videos or view full answer...
Going with a longer crossbar does give you more space to mount roof accessories and carriers but the longer bars do tend to get in the way a little more and create a little more wind noise. So really it comes down to considering how many things you plan to carry on the roof rack and how wide they might be.
Now that said the 60 inch Jetstream rack Yakima offers part numbers # Y00426, # Y28TR, # Y06125, and # Y06165 is the correct rack for if you have a naked roof and the 50 inch rack view full answer...
