Trailer Hitch Extender for 1-1/4 Inch Trailer Hitch and Bike Carrier
Question:
I have a bike rack with a 3/4 inch receiver on the car but need an extension to extend the bike rack out further. Do you have such a product?

Helpful Expert Reply:
I have never heard of a 3/4 inch trailer hitch receiver. Does the receiver opening actually measure 1-1/4 inches? If so we do have extensions that you can use, such as # hes6 which will give you an additional 6 inches. If it is a 3/4 inch receiver opening then we will not have an option
But the use of a hitch extender will reduce the tongue weight capacity of the hitch by 50 percent. The combined weight of the bike carrier and bikes cannot exceed the reduced capacity.
