Can Self-Adjusting Brakes Be Added As Replacements For Regular Brake Assemblies?
Question:
If my fifth wheel currently does not have self adjusting brakes can I replace them with the self adjusting brake kits from your website?

If your 5th wheel trailer doesn't have self adjusting brakes, that is a very easy upgrade. You can just swap them out as you mentioned. Based on the hubs you were looking at, I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 12" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 5.2K to 7K # AKEBRK-7-SA. These assemblies will need the initial adjustment at installation and then will self-adjust from that point. These assemblies will be labeled so you install them on the correct side of your trailer. I've attached some videos to assist.
