Fifth Wheel Hitch Adapter for 2016 Chevy 3500 with Factory Prep Puck System
Question:
I have a 1 year old 20k Reese round tube sliding fifth wheel hitch purchased from trailer that I want to use in my 2016 Chevy 3500 that is factory prepped with the puck system. Will the RP30156 adaptor work? If not what part will work?

For your 2016 Chevy 3500 with Factory puck system, the Reese Adapter # RP30156 will not work. Instead you will need to use the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package - 6-1/2' Bed - 21K # DM6194 to allow your Reese 20K slider to work with your truck. This adapter is currently the only adapter that will work for most industry standard rail compatible 5th wheel hitches.
You may also want to consider adding the Demco 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole Plug - 10' Long # DM8555002 for easy wiring connection and accessibility.
