Installing Battery Charge Line Kit for Flat Towed Jeep Wrangler that has 4-Way Connector
Question:
Can I connect an in-line charger to four way plug that’s already on tow plate on my 2008 Jeep Wrangler if so what contact do I attach charger wire to ? Rv has additional flat four way as well as 6 way I plug into at this point but have been draining towed vehicle video from rv I system makes look so easy?

I do have a solution for you, however you will not be able to use a pin on your existing 4-Way for a battery charge line.In order to run charge line from the RV to your 2008 Jeep Wrangler battery, I first recommend installing the Roadmaster 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Kit # RM-146. You will use this to connect the 6-Way on your RV to your Jeep. Simply cut off the 4-Way connector on the Jeep and hardwire in the included 6-Way, making sure to match the wires up by function. You can test the 6-Way on your RV with a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to make sure the center pin is wired for 12V power.
You will then use the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25, which includes everything else needed to install a charge line to the Jeep's 6-Way and battery.

Is there a way to test to ensure the towed Jeep is getting power from the RV? I bought the two things above and have installed them and the one thing it is missing is an indicator to show when the Towed Jeep is truly charging from the RV. Do you have a way to test this before I leave for a trip? I am using a portable breaking system that requires power and I don't want to take any chances. Thanks for any help or suggestions. I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler.
