Question:
Im ready to order new tires 2 with a spare with rims for our 1991 trailer. Starcraft popup trailer 900 lbs load with 5.70-8 tires. What do you recommend that will allow highway speeds greater than 65 mph? The tires that were on the trailer when we purchased it last year are Carlisle Sure Trail ST , 2 ply, 2 nylon cord sidewall, rated 715 Lbs at 50 psi, Load range B, 4 bolt pattern.

Expert Reply:
We do have a size 5.70-8 trailer tire with a 4-bolt wheel that has the 715 lb (load range B) capacity you need. That said, this size tire does have a maximum speed rating of 65 mph, and there isn't an option for a higher speed rating than that. So the correct wheel and tire combo for you is the following:
- Kenda 5.70-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" White Wheel - 4 on 4 - Load Range B # AM30080
