Recommended Way to Transport a Motorcycle with a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country
Question:
2014 Chrysler Town and Country Touring L Considering motorcycle carrier for motorcycle with curb weight of 357lbs. The Draw-Tite hitch #75579 is rated at 400 lbs. max TW. With the weight of the carrier and the bike is use of this hitch feasible? Is there a hitch with a higher max TW? Am I just better off with a small trailer? Thx.

I took a look at your owners manual and it appears that even though the hitch is rated for 400lbs tongue weight the vehicle's frame itself isn't. You can check the placard on the inside of your driver's door or your owner's manual on page 550 to see that your max tongue weight is at best 360lbs. So your best option is a small trailer like # K2MMT5X7.
To tow this with your 2014 Chrysler Town and Country you can still get the # 75579 2 inch trailer hitch, then you will need wiring for the taillights # C56331, and a ball and ball mount for the trailer.
Since we've installed this hitch on your vehicle and we know the hitch height (13-1/2") and the coupler height of the trailer (15") and the ball size it uses (2"), I recommend the # C45230 and # 40038 for your towing setup. To lock the ball mount to the hitch you will want # e98880.
I have linked all the above mentioned products to this page as well as some of our motorcycle mounting products in the links for your viewing and purchasing convenience.
