These work great on my 2001 Mazda truck. I use them when towing my 17 travel trailer. I’ve tried various clip-on, suction cup, and strap-on extension mirrors. Some time or another, these mirrors will suddenly give and fall off. I don’t have to worry about that with these Longview mirrors. Wish I had found these years ago.

After a year, these are still the best extension truck mirrors I’ve used. One of the little straphooks had fallen off one when I had them off, but we were able to find it in the backseat.

by:

The product was as described and delivered on time. Who could ask for more?

by:

Assembled poorly. One of the mirrors was glued together poorly and came apart before or during shipping. Would not fit a 2001 explorer sport with puddle light as said by their expert. Return was made easy by etrailer.

by:
2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Works as intended. Gives me the view I need on my 2002 Sport trac when towing our camper

by:
2001 Ford Ranger

These mirrors fit my 2001 Ranger XLT Extended Cab with manual side mirrors perfectly. As usual Etrailer shipped promptly and kept me informed through the shipping process.

They did not fit my vehicle. There is a tiny section under the Q&A that says that if you have a courtesy light under your mirror they wont fit. This should be much more obvious, as it is on most models of the 2000 mercury mountaineer.

by:
2001 Mercury Mountaineer

The item doesn't even fit my 2001 Mercury mountaineer as it says it would

You mentioned that they were not a fit and I wanted to ask you a few questions. Can you tell me if your factory mirror looks like the one below. Can you tell me more in detail how it is not a fit.

Michael

10/25/2022

Hi, thank you for reaching out. I have attached a picture of the mirror and the towing mirror is not wide enough for my mirror to fit inside it. As you can tell the towing mirror sits way back half way of the bottom of my mirror. It doesnt fit over my mirror whatsoever. Even when I tried to barely slid it over my mirror it wasnt budging and sounded like it was gonna break it

I did hear back from the manufacturer today. They suggested that there could be a few possibilities that are happening. The first is something that happens, however happens rarely. When the OEM mirrors on the vehicle are made there can be variances in how they are manufactured. These variances can be enough to make the aftermarket mirror fit improperly. The second possibility is that there could be an extra thick foam pad on the inside of the extension mirror the needs to be compressed for a proper fit. If you do not want to keep the mirrors, please let me know.

by:

Verry sloppy fit on 2001 Ford Ranger. Previous version of this mirror (which these are replacing as one of them broke), had extra rubber pieces on top and fit much better.

by:
1997 Ford Explorer

1997 Ford Explorer XLT
This will be getting
a 3/5 from me. Fitment is good, no issues slipping them onto my original mirrors. They do vibrate a lot though. When driving, really can't focus on them. But overall they will do.

by:
2011 Ford Ranger

Did not fit the mirrors on my Ranger. Had to return the item.
Regarding the shipping method it was not good. etrailer opened the mirror box auto place my other item inside. Stuck labels all over the mirror box which was crushed at one end when I received it.

I checked and for the 2011 Ford Ranger we do not have a set of towing mirrors however we do have a blind spot mirror available part # KSCW2100.

by:

Loved the website.Easy to order and tra ck.

by:
2005 Ford Ranger

I like the way the mirrors fit over the existing mirrors. They fit tight and very well secured. For me the mirror on the left side works very well. It jiggles some, but I can see much better behind my trailer than I could without it. The mirror on the right doesn't work as well. Part of the problem is that the trailer's A/C unit is in the way; the other problem, though, is that the mirror (just the mirror, not the whole unit) jiggles very much with the road vibrations. It would be good if one could set the mirror and then, somehow, tighten it so it does not jiggle.

The were extremely easy to install.

The drivers side works well the passenger side mirror vibrates too much to see very well with it.

I do see that these are not a confirmed fit for you Nissan. I would recommend using a universal set of mirrors like part # 7070-2 for your application.

2001 Ford Ranger

First time buyer on etrailer and I have been pleasantly surprised by the effort to get my order shipped asap and the follow up. Not to say the product worked and fit perfectly. Something to be said for USA made.
Thanks and I will be back most assuredly.
Great service, great follow up, great product. Need anything else be said.

Still working perfectly

by:

Mine did not come with felt pads and they fit very poorly. They are always slipping partially off my mirrors.

by:
2001 Ford Ranger

I bought these mirrors for a 2001 Ranger. They fit nicely and blended in with the actual shape of the factory mirror. Very easy to install. My only negative comment is that sometimes there would be a little vibration. For the money though you can't beat them.

by:

The clamp interferes with the electric mirror movement. A better method to secure the mirrors to the truck would be a bungee/ball cord instead of the cheap plastic hook. Other than that the mirrors are acceptable.

Its been a year - the mirrors have not changed. Everything still works and the quality is still holding up. All in all Im satisfied with the investment.

by:

Look good, easy to adjust, only thing I don't care for is the vibrated view.

The side mirror extensions I received fit perfectly and were easy to install.

It should work fine. The installation was very easy and the quality seems good. I have only one reservation and that is the plastic hook used for attachment. I would feel better if it were metal instead of plastic. It gets it's first test this week.

2010 Ford Explorer

I actually purchased 2 sets of these mirrors. One for my Chevy S 10 and another for my Ford Explorer Sport Track. I regularly tow a 24 ft pontoon boat that is 8 ft wide. These mirrors work very well. I can see all the way to the tail end of the boat on the drivers side. This is the more important side for me. The passenger side visibility is not quite as good. I have to be very careful when switching back to the right lane when on a dual lane highway. All and all I highly recommend these mirrors. Keep in mind, this is a huge object I'm towing. I would not think of towing my pontoon boat without these great mirrors. Someone towing an average size trailer or boat should have great visibility on both sides. These mirrors definitely add a "comfort factor," when towing a boat or trailer. They are easy to install and are very stable. I definitely would recommend them !

Easy to put on. They have worked great!

by:
2004 Ford Ranger

I bought this mirror set for a 2004 Ford Ranger about a year ago. This Ranger has manual mirrors, so adjusting even the stock mirrors is a pain. After I installed them, I wasn't so sure I had made a good purchase, as it really didn't cover my blind spot.

Well.... a year later, I did some more mirror adjusting and they work great. Being manual mirrors, it was very difficult to get the mirrors perfect, but we finally got them dialed in to cover blind spots and the traffic directly behind the small overland trailer I pull. I'm glad to have made the purchase, They should be great on electric mirrors.

BTW... they even took a bird strike at 70mph with no issues (sorry bird...RIP)!!

by:
2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Not bad - works well, wish the connectors were a little less plastic...

We sold the truck the mirrors were for, but they served us well during our 1200 mile move from california to washington. thank you.

by:
Ford Edge

Easy to attach. Mirrors stay where they are adjusted to. Worth the price. More vibration than expected. Does not provide enough of an extended view to see past the edge of an 8 foot camping trailer width. Would be better if each mirror extended about 4 inches wider. Works great when towing a utility trailer that is 6-7 feet wide.
