Today we are going to review Part Number BWHDRH25601, this is the B&W Heavy-Duty 2 inch, Class V Trailer Hitch Receiver. This is a custom fit design, it is design to fit the Chevrolet GMC 2500 HD and 3500 HD shortbed trucks with thefactory bumper starting in 2011. I would recommend to go to the product page for this partnumber andat the bottom of the page it will list the years and models of vehicles this will fit on. Thisis a custom fit trailer hitch whichwill let you tow a trailer with your vehicle.It is a bolt-on installation,no welding isrequired. As you can see here we have mounted the 2 end wings and the center tube altogether to give you an idea what the hitch would look like. It is a interlocking, 3-piece design, it does use theGrade 8 mounting hardware and the installation instructions are included.
It has a nice high-gloss, black powder coat finish helps resists corrosion. If you notice the safety chainloops here built into this heavy-duty steel gusset right here, aroundthe hitch receiver opening. It is a sturdy steel construction. The ball mount, if you are going to towing with this, the ball mount pin and clip is not included, that would be sold separately. This part is made in the USA.It does have a receiver opening of 2 inches by 2 inches. Andagain the class rating of this is aClass V , it means it has a maximum gross trailer weight capacity of 16,000 pounds and also the maximum gross total weight capacity when used with weight distribution will be the same 16,000 pounds.
Maximum tongue weight will be1,600 pounds and the maximum tongue weight if used with weight distribution will be 1,600 pounds also. This part does have a lifetime limited warranty. Some truck models will require the spare tire to be pushed toward the cab while being raised into position to allow clearance for the receiver hitch.
