Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the LED extreme series lights and the anti-flicker harness kit. Now, this is going to be a replacement for your headlight bulbs, and it's going to give you a very, very bright light. You can either use these as high beams for your vehicle, or you can also use them just for off-road or use in rural areas. It's not really intended to be used on city streets or on the highway because they are just going to be so bright that they're going to be really uncomfortable for other drivers to be around. So definitely intended for use where you're not going to be around a lot of other drivers.

It also comes with the anti flicker harness for those vehicles that have a canvas or PWM equipped vehicles. Basically what happens is a lot of times, whenever you try to put in the LEDs into a vehicle that has one of those equipped, it's going to make that light kind of shutter and flicker, not the best thing. So that harness is going to help regulate the power so that it's all is working properly.Let's take a closer look at these and I'm going to actually hook them up to or hook one of them up to power and ground so you can see just how bright this light is. They are polarity sensitive so you want to be careful whenever you're plugging them into your vehicle that you min, which side is which. Now yours is just going to be a plug and play application.

It should just match right up with your factory wiring. I'm just using the alligator clamps here today, because that's what I have in my studio. Well, it's going to back up a little bit for you guys there. So it's going to be very, very bright, turn that on.You also might notice there's a little whirring sound. It actually has a built in fan, so that's going to help to keep it cool so that it doesn't prematurely fail, so it should last you a long time.

You can see that light is just super, super bright and even if I expand this out, you can tell this is really lighting up the rest of my studio. It's going to be a very bright light. That cool white that helps promote better visibility at night. So definitely going to be a good improvement over our factory bulbs and even the halogen bulbs you also sometimes see. Again, not really intended for use on the highway, cause it just is so bright.So now that we've seen that, let's talk about some of the more detailed specs.

It can be rotated around here. This collar is adjustable. So it comes with a tool to make that adjustment, but you can rotate that to get it, to fit with your housing so that angle is correct. As far as the IP rating, that's going to be the ingress rating for it, or how much it's able to stand dust and water. It's IP six, five. So that means it's impervious to dust and it's rated for water, so that it's basically weatherproof. You don't really have to worry about any water getting in there. For our light output; the raw lumen output is going to be 5,000 lumens per bulb and the effective lumen output is 4,565 lumens. That second number is really the one to pay attention to since that's more the real world application for the lights after about 30 minutes, though, that does drop down to 4,033 lumens, still a very, very bright light. The color temperature is 6,500 Kelvin, which again is going to be that nice, cool white light that you saw. The wattage per bulb is 43 Watts. The power draw at 13 volts is three amps per bulb, and the operating voltage is between nine and 16 volts DC.It does come with a two year limited warranty and that's about all there is to it for our look at the extreme series led bulbs.
