For your 2015 Silverado 2500 we do carry automatic sliding fifth wheel hitches like the Demco RV Fifth Wheel, part # DM8550034. This is an 18,000 lb hitch that features 14 inches of front to back travel. I have attached a product review video for this hitch.

If you are looking for a standard sliding fifth wheel hitch I recommend the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R20 Slider, part # C16541. This is a heavy-duty hitch with dual jaws that provide a 360 degree jaw-to-king-pin contact. This means less rattle and jarring. This hitch has a gross towing weight capacity of 20,0000 lbs and features round tube sliders which is less binding than square sliders. The slider travel for this hitch is 12 inches front to back. I have attached a product review video for this hitch you can check out.

The installation kit I recommend is part # C16411-204. This kit has custom brackets that cut the installation time in half when compared with universal installation kits. This kit includes the brackets, rails, and hardware, and will work with either of the hitches I mentioned.

I also recommend the Hopkins Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part # 41157. This provides a 7-way connector in the truck bed to make it easier to hook up your fifth wheel trailer while retaining the use of the 7-way connector at the back of the truck. The harness plugs into the back of your 7-way at the bumper and also into your factory wiring. A link to an install video for this harness is attached.

When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
