Is a Battery Disconnect or Charge Line Needed for a 2018 Ford Edge

Question:

We have a 2018 Ford Edge Titanium 3.5L V6 AWD and want to flat tow it behind our motorhome. The owners manual says to disconnect the negative battery cable. From all I have read in your QandA, it looks like we need the following Roadmaster items 1 RM-766 2 RM-156-25 and 3 RM-15267 to cover everything. Am I correct?

The battery does need to be disconnected per the owner's manual in order to dinghy tow a 2018 Ford Edge. This can be done manually each time or by using an automatic battery disconnect, the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch part # RM-766.

If you want to use the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles part # RM-156-25 then you will want to use a 7 to 6-wire diode kit like the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit part # RM-15267 so you can run the charge lines using one of the open pins.
