Question:
So I would like to install the Rail mount ultimate 5th wheel hitch on my GMC My question is can I use the Goose Box™ 5th Wheel Pin Box, Air Ride, with this set up seeing the the ultimate is the same height as a regular 5th wheel hitch, Is their enough adjustment on the pin box to do this? Thanks

The Reese Goose Box is designed to attach to a gooseneck ball which is much lower than the height of a fifth wheel hitch so it would not work. Are you basically just looking for a cushioned pin box you could use with the Ultimate? What pin box does your trailer have?
Question:
I currently have a Lippert 1716 with a 16k 5th wheel hitch I looking to reduce the weight of the hitch by using a ball instead as I'm getting older and the hitch is getting heavier The ultimate is the same height as a 5th wheel hitch so I can see it out the back window VRs a bed mounted ball when Hitching up yes I would prefer a cushioned pin box if possible but It appears I will have to take another look at my options Thanks for your reply

You can use a cushioned pin box with the Andersen Ultimate like with the Trailair part # LC158777 since you have a 1716 pin box. This will allow you to have a lightweight hitch with the Ultimate and the cushioned pin box with the Trailair.
To do a Goose Box like with the part # RP94716-61301 you'd need to replace your fifth wheel hitch rails with a gooseneck hitch. To do that I would need to know the year/make/model of the truck.
